Clean, but smelled like a curry

Reviewed By kjx524

Hotel was ok. Stayed on third floor smelled like a curry restaurant. Was almost bothersome. Other guest remarked on the odor. I’d stay again but request a room on a different floor. Staff was ok, tried hard but did not have a super friendly energy.

Horrible customer service by GM. Do not recommend this hotel! I feel bad for the staff for dealing with the the mistakes made by the manager. I would recommend going to the Hampton down the road. If you read other reviews it seems the manager is a common complaint.

Some good things and some bad things...

Reviewed By S4721AEkeithg

We stayed here for a weekend for a basketball tournament at Warsaw High School. If you are in the same boat, this is an excellent location about 10 minutes away and there are not many hotels, so this beats the drive from Ft. Wayne. The good: Location as I mentioned. The pool area is really good and well maintained (although there were no towels when we went...more on that later). The breakfast is good with a waffle iron, eggs, breakfast meat, biscuits, ect. Good selection and really quick before we're out to sit in a gym all day. The beds, albeit a bit small if you get 2 doubles are comfortable. The bad: Our room smelled of smoke and we needed to go out and get febreeze to battle it all weekend. The room itself is dated and I'm sure the smell was coming from the curtains that were likely from the Reagan administration. The TVs are rather small in comparison to other hotels...it would have been nicer to have a little larger there. We were there on a weekend, we had a towel a person and repeatedly asked for more towels as were many other guest and never got any. I understand it was a busy weekend but using the same towel for a weekend (and having to use it at the pool) was not great. All in all, not a bad hotel if you are in a similar situation...I wish I owned this hotel...with some updates and renovations, this could be the bell of the ball. As such, its just a decent standard hotel....hoping you don't get the room that someone smoked 43 cartons of coffin nails in.

The End of a 40 Year Relationship

Reviewed By Bobalow

We have been staying at this hotel for over 40 years. It used to be a top notch place where we have always been comfortable. Things have changed over the last couple of years. The rooms are dated. While some improvements have been made, it’s not as nice as it used to be. The bathrooms are particularly outdated. We had reservations for two nights, 5/28 and 5/29/2022. They put us in a handicapped accessible room. We had asked for a different room but they said they were booked up. On the first morning, I tried to take a shower but the wall holder for the shower sprayer (handicapped room) was broken. I can’t raise one of my arms and I just had surgery on the other shoulder. This made it very painful to try to get the shower head to stay in place and work. When I turned off the water, the sprayer jumped out of the holder and hit me in the head. This was a roll-in shower and the water flooded the floor. My wife had similar problems. Total flooding of the bathroom. Asked twice for more towels but never got them. Asked for a new room and was told to come back later. I saw availability online but the clerk said the only thing she had was a jacuzzi room. I said ok at hotel’s expense. “Come back later”. Then the clerk called and said that they actually didn’t have any other rooms. We checked out and into another hotel. They had the nerve to charge me for the first night in that horrible room. I asked for a manager to call me but have not gotten a call. After 40+ years, we will no longer stay here. There are much nicer hotels in Warsaw for the same $$ and they come with breakfast.
