My hubby is a Spur fan. I guess it is the spare-ribs that has him hooked. Speaking for myself, I still have to find something on the menu that would entice me to go back for more. I like healthy food and I find most of what I had ordered in the past to be very oily or starchy. If I had many other options I would not visit the Spur. About 20 years ago Spur restaurants had the most wonderful healthy "home baked" bread with raisins and seeds in it. I would love a platter with that bread, paté and cheeses.They also had apple pie to dream of. What happened to all of that? Their desserts seem very plastic and unhealthy.

We were not particularly hungry, so found the menu a bit limiting. However, our waitress was eager to help us, and even offered soup that was not on the menu. Service was excellent. The restaurant was noisy, even though is was not even half full, and I feel that the decor could be improved.

Went there for breakfast with the twins (age 4), you get the same quality food at all of these outlets, but the service was great - staff were friendly and they saw that I needed the kids to be occupied. They showed them a game which is on the back of their menus, and there is also a trampoline on which the boys could jump and leave me to enjoy a Farmhouse breakfast and Wimpy Coffee!

For a small town this is definitely an amazing restaurant. They have a wood burning pizza oven which produced the most amazing pizza my colleagues and I have ever had not to mention the amazing sirloin steak I had that was cooked to perfection.
Staff was very friendly and they had a very good and affordable range of craft beers and Gins.

Visited the Grapevine while on business in the area for dinner. The place is a bit too well lit for my liking. Discussed this with the manager and I can understand that he wants to create a particular atmosphere. For me though; eating out is an experience and the relevant elements being ambiance, comfort, food taste, setting, food presentations and service determines how much the experience is enjoyed. I could not fault the food, service comfort and setting. Will probably visit the place again when I am in town.
