I have been here about 5 times. The a la carte food seemed to be better last year. I like the food but it´s not authentic Asian food. Besides, I don´t think it´s possible to find any authentic Asian food anywhere 30-50 km away from here. They have sushi, mongolian buffet ( don´t have to wait in queue for the food to be cooked), chocolate (fair-trade) fondue with ice-cream and a large variety of warm dishes. About 15 Eur / adult for dinner buffet. It´s a great place to go to with a group of friends in this region but overrated.

Das Gasthaus Six liegt etwas versteckt nördlich von Vöcklabruck am Fuß des Altmannsbergs. Von der schattigen Terrasse genießt der Gast ein eindrucksvolles Panorama hinunter auf die Stadt, den Hongar, den Traunstein und das Höllengebirge.
Aber nicht nur wegen des Ausblicks ist der Gasthof einen Besuch wert, auch das gutbürgerliche Essen und die Getränkekarte sind positiv zu erwähnen. Das ausgezeichnete Bratl in der Rein muss man als Gruppe vorbestellen, empfehlenswert sind der Zwiebelrostbraten, die Ripperl und Schnitzel. Vegetariern kann ich die Kasnockerl empfehlen.
Das Personal ist zudem sehr freundlich und aufmerksam.

Eaten here and taken out pizzas from this restaurant - Fantastic pizza made with the freshest ingredients. I understand some key ingredients are brought in regularly from Italy. The brick oven provides that crisp smoky flavor to whatever selection of pizza you choose. I like the ham and mushroom. Can get extremely busy so Reservations are a must or carry out.

Wir haben uns entschlossen, beim Genino zu essen, weil es praktisch und sehr zentral im Einkaufszentrum Verena liegt.
Die Bedienung war sehr schnell, das Essen war ebenfalls ruck zuck serviert.
Wir bestellten:
einen gemischten Salat (der war ok), dann als Hauptspeise "Chili-Picante" - die Nudeln mit Chilesauce waren sehr heiß, schmeckten aber nach gar nichts, ausser dass sie scharf waren. Haben mehrmals nachsalzen, aber es kam einfach kein Geschmack auf.
Dann bestellten wir noch "Prosciutto crudo di Parma" - Nudeln mit Pilzen, Prosciutto und Käse - leider schmeckten auch die sehr fad.
Wir verstehen nicht, warum gewisse Köche ihre eigenen Speisen, die an Gäste serviert werden vorab nicht abschmecken?? Das kann nicht sein, sonst hätte er das gemerkt.
Nochdazu sind die Preise zwar nicht überteuert, aber dennoch für diese Qualität zu hoch!

Really a must when in Voecklabruck. Try to make it on a Wednesday as this is market day. Sample the stadtkaffee breakfast (3 rolls, ham,cheese, jam, butter, great orange juice and coffee/tea. Friendly service.
