I stayed at the Hotel Weyanoke for a conference and had an opportunity to have a drink at the Catbird Rooftop Terrace. It's an absolutely beautiful bar with amazing views over the town,,great service and mid-priced but well made drinks. Their drink menu is good and the bartender made a wonderful gin martini for me with an olive. The bartender that night was also very friendly and attentive and was quick to get the drinks and bill back to us that evening. The bar also has a cornhole set and lots of seating, both at the bar and around it. Very nice spot and I will be sure to visit when I return.Thank you so much for your detailed review. What a great addition to Farmville. A varied menu of mostly lighter fare with varied flavor profiles.The place is part restaurant, part bar, and part music/dance venue. Prices are reasonable and the tables and booths are designed or 6-8 people. A little awkward for all the parties of 2 when we were there at dinner, but clearly they are seeking to attract families and groups of students from the colleges.

Found 3 servers sitting at a table in back. Asked for help and still had to wait for yet another server to find us. Even then, service remained slow and uninspired. Guess thats what you get in a college town

My wife and I ate dinner at Applebee's in Farmville on 12/26. I had the chicken and shrimp dinner and my wife had the Chicken Caprese meal. We both enjoyed the food. Service was good. Quick in and out. There were not a lot of people here due to the holiday season and the colleges being out for the holidays. We have eaten here many times before and will return.
