We had a group of 16 and at on the street in front of the cafe. It was comfortable and provided good views of Burgos Square. Or group ordered traditional pork and vegan dishes. The service was fast and the food was well prepared. The sizzeling vegetable plate had a good presentation and tasty vegan fare. The fried chicken platter was large and very tasty too. No complaints from anyone in the group! Recommend!

They served my order, Sinanglao, fast. It's just that, the servers werent really paying attention to us customers. I tried asking for water, but the server didnt bat an eye at me. Good thing the lady seated next to me offered her pitcher and put some in my glass (Bless her). Also, there werejt enough beef in my soup ): Just white onions ))):

Eating in a heritage house is an experience especially because the restaurant serves local Ilocano cuisine. there is also grilled seafood for the less adventurous. This is the reason why it is popular among tourists. The ambience is like a grandmother's dining room during the Spanish times. Service was efficient and friendly. The waiter explained the local dishes well.

McDonald's

This McDonalds is just a standard McDonalds branch as found throughout the Philippines, but it's location is the stand out feature facing the Fountains and Cathedral and just minutes walk from heritage area. Providing great drinks, burgers and snacks for those visiting on a budget. Or an ideal place to shelter from a sudden downpour.

Approx 15 min tricycle ride from city centre. Food quality and pricing is good. Service was efficient and friendly!
Empanadas, traditional food, sandwiches and fruit shakes all available.
Restaurant is outdoors style but is well shaded with fans aplenty. Quite nice surroundings really, many plants and shrubs around.
Would recommend and return.

I was happy to see many people eating to their hearts' delight the local food of Ilocano empanada, ukoy, barbecue, and sinanglao soup. However, the Vigan City government should be more conscious of keeping the place clean. Also, they can provide better tables and benches. After all this is one of the places local tourists flock to.

Coffee Break Vigan

The coffee is fresh and barista made. Obviously have a international understanding of great coffee presentation and to have a hot coffee presented with a selection of cakes is welcomed relief! We returned for dinner and had pesto and a burger with more coffee. The service is basic but reliable and the surrounds are clean and comfortable. Most important is that the food and service is consistently good.

Great location but coffee should be better. Asked for a long black and got a sweet version - If I want sugar I'll add some or ask!! Also weak. Free wifi a plus but altogether service clumsy and not as good as Cafe Uno.

Hidden Garden

On the outskirts of Vigan this restaurant is set in a garden centre. It may have been hidden at one time but it is extremely popular now with well over 50 people there when we went. As it was so busy there was a wait for our meals but I walked round the garden to see the different plants, including Bonsai. I ordered a shrimp omelette which came in tempura batter, a rather unusual concept. They offer plenty of shakes, I had dragon fruit it was creamy and refreshing.

St Martha's Cafe

Reviewed By tommomelbourne - Melbourne, Australia

This restaurant is attached to the Ciudad Fernandina Hotel where we stayed. Our room tariff included breakfast. We had no other meals other than breakfast at this restaurant.
Breakfast was a set menu and was quite generous in offerings. Usually a choice of a set hot meal of which there were numerous choices including several Illocano favourites like bagnet, poqui poqui, and longanisa.(The longanisa was so much better than in other places in the Philippines) Breakfast also included tea or coffee, sweets, fruit and salad.
On the day of departure as we were busy packing so we elected for room service breakfast. When it came I was surprised at how much food there was. It also included a complimentary Spaghetti. Needless to say we couldnt finnish the meal.
Nice staff at the restaurant.
