Well, until we contacted Søren from Motel Viborg. He wasn’t at the Motel but explained me how to find a key in the late hours of a Friday. No questions, just a friendly host letting me stay without any concerns. A level of trust you rarely find anywhere else, but something memorable. The day after, he put a fridge in my room and filled it with goodies for breakfast. Service beyond expectation and truly recommendable. Oh, and the room is lovely! The worlds needs more people like him.

There is a smoking area and a common place for breakfast which servers starting 6am until 10. it is near the downtown viborg and some groceries and also complete on necessities

Det bedste er baren hvor man bliver mødt af dejligt imødekommende personalle der gerne vil kræse for at man får en super aften med drinks du ikke lige støver op alle steder ? Fedt med nøglekode til værelserne så man modtager sms med kode og når værelset er klar til tjek ind. Også 3 timer før den reelle tjek ind.

The hotel is situated in very scenic and recreational surroundings right between the Viborg Lakes and only a few minutes walk from the main shopping centre. The hotel has 2 restaurants overlooking the lake, indoor swimming pool, jacuzzi, sauna, pool table and darts, all free of charge. Free parking and free wireless internet.

Reviewed By philipthomsenRooms were fine, nothing extraordinary. The service were good and the reception were very helpful. The wellness facilities were nice, we enjoyed a swim, a hot tub and a trip in the sauna. Very helpful for relaxing after a long bike trip. Our stay included a 3 course dinner with 3 glasses of wine. Classic danish dinner with nice taste overall. The main dish were very tasteful, but nothing special. The dessert chocolate cake were a tad bit dry and I wasn’t able to finish it even though I love chocolate. The accompanying wine were from France and Italian, nothing special but fine for the price. Our room were located with a view of the courtyard so we weren’t comfortable with opening the door and windows, therefore the room got quite heated at night. However, the breakfast included everything you could want. Eggs, bread, bacon, sausages, several types of fruit, cereal and other nice things.

Reviewed By Mikael BThe Palads Hotel is located in cenral Viborg just at the end of the pedestrian street. Rooms are quite big and comfortable and beds are fine. There is a very small minibar with reasonable prices. Not very much service and the bar/restaurant was closed at evenings. Breakfast is plentiful with lots of choices. Only point to mention is the total lack of organic products.

Perfect getaway

The hotel is located in the middle of the forest and nature area making for wonderful walks. Viborg is a nice little town and nearby, we also spend a day there from the hotel. Service was top notch with the owners putting in a lot of effort to put this newly renovated hotel / restaurant on the map. Big recommendation!
