Coming in from the north you can hardly miss it on the left side, but I´d recommend not to stop there.
The decor is a bit south eastern USA a bit desert themed. The restaurant specializes in large meat portions with some vegetables and potatoes along and if you are in for such kind of fare it will not disappoint you too much even though the meat is only medium quality and the preparation as well but given the prices and the portion size it barely reaches an ok level.
There is much better food to be had in Verden so do not take it just because it is conveniently located.

As a long time regular of this restaurant which did offer a very good menu to very acceptable prices I was a bit afraid how it would turn out after he gave up the star and brought all together to the bistro concept.
It is still the best kitchen in around half an hour of driving to make things very short. If you are in Verden and like good food still this is the first place to go to and iwth the new bistro concept the prices are still pretty reasonable (even if no longer that perfect bargain they were before).
The menu changes with the season so it is hard to recommend anything special but I´d always go for the most "risky" option when it comes to flavours the reward is well worth the risk. Fresh ingredients, freshly and expertly prepared and often with a very special twist in the very good seasoning.
The choice is a bit limited but imo that is always a sign for good quality. If possible try to get a seat in the old bistro area you can watch the chefs at work.

Nice chamber w/ fireplace in winter. Flexible menue. In summer the "Biergarten" is worth going there.

I used to go here as a child when I lived in Germany and only had fond memories. I have since visited as an adult and still only have fond memories! Always welcoming and friendly staff. I would recommend any of their thin authentic pizzas or any pasta dish. If in season definitely try their mussels, I've never had tastier ones!

A very bright and open ambiance, quite bistro style. Very good welcome and service. In summer a nice garden to sit out in. Food is excellent quality and varied. Lamb is always one of my favourite dishes, especially the slow cooked lamb shoulder. A good wine list and not too expensive. Generally a great place to eat, more relaxed and less formal than Pades.

Nice bar, been there many times, the last in Sunday 21 June to have a few drinks with some friends,
The waiters that late afternoon was slow and poor service, cappucino no foam on the top but lots of cacao, since when belongs cacao on cappucino???
The beers late been stale and drafted in 1 go...
You get better beer in Verden but at present there is unfortunately no better bar, to sit- relax and meet friends especially on sunday evening.
Verden Ooooh Verden was is aus die geworden??

Just 'normal' Greek food. Limited language skills of the waiter. Wine only by the glass. Limited selection of desserts. But most surprisingly.. No CREDIT CARDS nor Maestro payment possible. In 2017 ?
