The Città del Vasto or Vasto (Ancient Greek: Ἱστόνιον, translit. Histonion, Latin: Histonium) is a town and comune on the Adriatic coast of the Province of Chieti in southern Abruzzo, Italy. It was also called in the Middle Ages as Guastaymonis or Vasto d'Aimone and also Waste d'Aimone. Renamed Istonio under the Fascist Rule, it took the current name of Vasto in 1944. In the local dialect it is called Lù Uàšte, that is Il Vasto.

The Terrace is extremely elegant and the view is fantastic. the food is superb, very fresh and tasty. we accepted the recommendation of the friendly and very professional waiter and he was right! the only negative aspect was the initial waiting to get a table so I would suggest to book for an early dinner.

se c'è un aggettivo che può connotare il Plaza è "Impeccabile", ho avuto il piacere di essere qui per un matrimonio ed ho trascorso una bellissima giornata. Un giardino curato e confortevole, Panorama bellissimo ed una sensazione molto piacevole di pace e armonia. Un buffet delizioso e curato nel minimo dettaglio, personale attento e molto gentile. Per non parlare della sala superiore, bellissima, servizio e cibo eccezionali.

We visited Cibomatto with our two young kids (2 & 4 yrs) and we found the entire experience to be simply oustanding and truly memorable. Our waiter was extremely attentive and helpful with the kids. The chef talked us through the menu and his recommendations - this was probably the most memorable part of the night because it was a great experience to speak with him and have him involved in the meal.
Just make sure your Italian is reasonable to take advantage of his attention.
The antipasti were fantastic - a mixed plate of chilled / raw seafood & some of the best we have sampled. Presentation was beautiful. The house wine was very well priced and was also fantastic.
I strongly recommend you pop in and try Cibomatto, we will be back. It's not the cheapest restaurant in Vasto, but we think it's worth what you pay.

We went here (my mother and I) at dinner time teased by the comments on Tripadvisor. Everybody were having "apertivo cenato" (dinner happy hour), but we were starving. The staff had been extremely kind and prepared for us a main course dish: "arrosticini" (an Abruzzese traditional dish) with roasted potatoes and sautéed chicory. Delicious! We accompanied the meal with a very good light blond beer (I forgot the name, but ask for a light blond beer, but not the lightest).
What else to say? We came again for two other evenings! One time we had an "aperitivo cenato" - really worth trying. You will have the opportunity to taste different dishes of land and sea. This time we tried the lightest blond beer (with a green label). Very good also this one, more bitter. The last time we asked again for a "proper" dinner with our favourite dishes: peppered mussels prepared with prosecco, arrosticini, "pallotte cacio e ova" (another Abruzzese traditional dish), roasted potatoes and sautéed chicory.
Excellent quality. What's more is that the value for money is great. If not clear enough, we highly recommend this place!
For us it was not so difficult to find the place, because we were based at Vignola (on the SS16, before Vasto city center). From there it takes just 9 minutes by car to reach "Nonsolocaffè".

Great dinner and wonderful experience. We had so many dishes we did not save room for the meat course. Everything we were served was so good; local, fresh and homemade. I would agree with other reviews, we were made to feel like family and we even shared some homemade liquors at the end of the evening. This is a place were you can sit back and enjoy a leisurely dinner while allowing the owner to treat you to his wonderful cuisine.

Wow our first time here and we loved the location. It's expensive at 35/50 Euro per head but it's an experience and we loved the courses and fish. Wine flowed all afternoon and staff were so lovely.
We went swimming underneath at the end and the water is so clear!

The menu is on large chalk boards with about a dozen options , we asked if they could cater for 1 veggie and they were more than capable of. Great bruschetta and we both had ravioli pasts with ricotta filling and the veggie option was oil and truffle shavings whilst I had chilli oil and a saucer of chillis the cut onto the dish. We asked about desert and out came a plate with yet more homemade food and then another with delicious light cheese cakes. The is also a good single malt whisky selection behind the bar.
Thoroughly recommended!

I came here with a colleague during a business trip, looking for local food.
We were not disappointed, all the dishes were excellent, and quantities were generous.
The waiter and owner were very professional and of good advise.
We will come back to try the pizzas!
