In the village of Vallouise ( alt . 1160 M. ) , Located between the church and the torrent that dominate balconies of the rooms , nice 2-star hotel . The hotel , with its chalet style and atmosphere mountain, is located in the departure of many hiking in summer and winter trails ski pass from the bottom in front of the hotel.

Reviewed By ClaudeCLGThe place is in a wonderful location in the very center of the town. Rooms are very small but decent considering it is a two star hotel. Breakfast is also decent, not anyhow recommended for vegetarians. Restaurant food is average, portions are very generous. Staff is professional, English is not so spoken but you manage to make them understanding you... they are much more friendly it you are French but this is unfortunately common in France. The real minus is cleansiness, rooms are dusty and they do not clean properly. Price per quality is not so good, at the end it is not cheap.

Reviewed By Girl-Friday56This is my second trip to this campsite. I was camping and took a "nature" pitch which means no electric. There are electric pitches, comfort tents which are more permanent solid types and chalets. The facilities are very good and are cleaned very early every morning. It was hot during our stay so the pools were busy. Staff are available between 8.30-1pm and 2pm till late. The bar area gets very busy on an evening and sometimes the wait for a pizza is long but as it is only 5mins walk into the village of Vallouise it is easy to find food both restaurants and take aways.

Good value, in the heart of the alps

The hotel has a great location next to the River Gyr, in the valley that goes to Ailefroide and the Glacier Blanc - there are plenty of activities all around. Enough for all. The hotel is family run, and the welcome is fantastic. The hotel parking appears limited, but just look for the lower parking where you will find space. The hotel itself is sufficient - we had a suite that included a small kitchenette and a fridge, and was split on two levels... a chalet! Breakfast can be provided, as can evening meals in the connected restaurant ( this is good!) Two things let this hotel down for me personally - the wifi was terrible but free - their service provider NooDo does not understand how to run a wifi network, and the network was dead on the second night. The second was the lack of a standing shower - this is traditionally French with a bath tub and a shower head. Sit boy, sit! Apart from these, we were extremely happy.

Reviewed By Darran SWe stayed in cabin 16 for a week in late August. The site itself was blissful with the constant sound of the river and the 360 degree mountain views. Our cabin was immaculately clean and located shadily amongst the trees, whilst still being close to the site amenities. Pool area was well kept and was frequently quiet. The pizzas from the roulette were fabulous and reasonably priced. Staff were all super helpful, the lady in reception was happy to make calls for us to enquire and book activities etc. Vallouise itself is a great base, all you need is in the village (bakery, shop, restaurants and sports equipment hire). Make sure you try the almond croissants from the bakery! There are lots of walking trails from the village that are all clearly signposted, which take you up for some sensational views of the valley.

Reviewed By Thereaper2808The welcome is unreserved and friendly. During the 3 night stay with my dog, I was fed well with simple well cooked food and served with a smile. Nothing was too much trouble, including making a tailor made pack up lunch daily. Do not expect top hotel facilities, the rooms are basic but clean, and everything worked well. I will return.

Reviewed By tomas d3 czech lovers of mountain beauties spent 1 week in B&B La Borella casa beginning of July 2016 and could appreciate both friendliness, sense of humor and especially excellent cooker professionality of its owner Alberto. Rooms are large and equiped with balcony with fabulous view on Mont Pelvoux. There is very nice and and family like atmosphere in the Casa La Borella. The bathroom is very large and well equiped but shared with other visitors of Casa La Borella.

Exceptional setting; v. pleasant stay at hotel
Reviewed By Mark TWe stayed during a short break and spent our last night at this hotel. The room was very pleasant with a small balcony. Everything was clean. We ate the set menu at dinner which was copious, cheese and desert was self-service. We would certainly return.
