Whilst staying in Uzwil at the hotel Uzwil I ate in their restaurant the first night and was very impressed with the food, excellent quality, nice choices on the menu and perfectly cooked.
I found the staff to be so friendly and very happy to advise a non german speaking guest like myself, very nice people.
I am not used to hotel food normally being so good so was very pleasantly surprised.

Thanks to the Guide Michelin I discovered this lovely restaurant, where I enjoyed a flawless dinner. Located within the beautiful Old Town, Hof zu Wil is a 15-minute-walk from the train station.
Despite being part of a historic building, the dining room is bright and modern. Thumbs-up for the friendly welcome and most attentive service, partly performed by the tenant herself.
The menu is Swiss traditional, with focus on seasonal and regional produce.
As starter I had an asparagus tart with fresh spinach leaves - light and tasty. As main course I chose the escalopes of Toggenburg lamb, served with a flavourful ratatouille. Delicious and very generous portion: the lamb was perfectly cooked, rosa and tender. I ended my dinner with a good strawberry crumble.
In high-price Switzerland the bill remained reasonable, in particular for dinner time: CHF85 for the whole meal. Definitely an address to remember.

If you are in the area, do not hesitate to try this restaurant. We were a party of 14 and the food was delicious, not a single complaint from any of us.. Be warned though the menu is all in Swiss/German so take a translator with you although the staff also speak English so don't be put off by that, it is well worth a visit.

After a long day travelling we just wanted something quick and easy to eat, we decided to try Pizzeria La Favola for the first time.
We are not really pizza eaters but love Italian food, however, having watched the chef, lovingly and creatively preparing the pizzas, each one by hand, we decided to try one, they were so large that we had one between up with a tomato salad.
This Pizza did not disappoint at all, it was thin, crisp and lots of flavoursome toppings on it, superb I would say for a pizza, one between us was plenty but we both agreed that it was so good we would probably go for one each next time and no starter.
The staff were very friendly, we don't speak much German and they really tried hard to help us.
We will definitely be making this one of our regular eating places whilst we are living in Uzwil, and also look forward to trying their pasta dishes which also looked really good.
Great little restaurant, unassuming but great .

Went there with friends after the Fast Natch parade. The pizza was served quickly and hot. I would definitely recommend the place. Cash only, no credit cards.

excellent restored typical swiss country inn with a very nice outside Seating (gastgarten) and the attached barn with open front side.
the servants took the order very quickly and with a smile on their face - one feels welcome immediately.
the typical lunch menu comes with a soup, main dish and a dessert of fruits.
presentation of food, creativity and the taste can be described as excellent.
i would not know a negative point during our lunch there.
ambience couldn't be much better.
this is a very recommendable place to have lunch or dinner - excellent kitchen and feel good ambience.

This restaurant offers excellent steaks and it's specialty is Horsemeat steak. I have been there several times and the food and beer has always been top quality.
Can definately recommend for anyone on the area. If you look for veggie dish this is probably not your choice. Disadvantage is remote location ( appr. 2km from Uzwil) and not very good parking lot

We just went there because I wanted to try a different restaurant where my parents live...I could not believe what a high level and great food are in the little 'Dorf' of Jonschwil! The couple which is managing this restaurant is just amazing! I was very impressed. As my father does not eat Mexican food he was happy to have Swiss food on the menu. But my husband and my mother eat Mexican food.
The presentation is just a piece of art, and the taste is hmmm...fantastic!
We will go back this is a treasure!

Schönes Lokal, gute Menü Auswahl oder auch Pizzas. Am Sonntag 5 Sonntagsmenüs, fachgerecht zubereitet - unsere Leberli venezia mit Risotto waren ausgezeichnet! Preis/Leistung sehr gut. Sehr freundliche Bedienung - aber - wir hatten vermutlich etwas Pech: Neuer Keller, seit 2 Tagen erst dort - er hatte, und gab sich, viel Mühe. Aber es hat trotzdem geklappt, wir waren zufrieden, und gerne wieder!
