Best Italian food outside Italy

The cabines are situated overviewing the rainforest and ocean which gives great opportunity for birdwatching in the early morning from your own balcony. It's situated about 3,5 hours from the airport so an excellent first of second stay after your flight for a few nights. The food is truly amazing. I can say I've had the best pizza here outside of Italy. This place is now a standard stopover on any trip to Costa Rica.

Rustic, jungle Cabinas a 3 minute walk from the beach at Marino Ballena National Park. Chose from one of our Open-Air A-Frames or Container AC Units. All Cabinas have a private kitchen, bathroom and shower. There is also a shared communal area, pool and BBQ facilities.
scary, unsafe experience
Reviewed By C6066CFsaramMy friend and I stayed here the evening of May 7th. This review is regarding a scary, unsafe situation we found ourselves in and not a reflection of the host. I feel it’s my responsibility to warn other travellers. At about midnight we heard footsteps coming from behind our cabin and in the jungle. Three men emerged from the jungle and snuck around our cabin for many hours, walking back and fourth into the trees. They stayed crouched by our screened in cabin for a total of three hours and we were terrified. They had flashlights and we were not sure what else. We attempted to call the emergency line several times at the location and there was no response. The woman running the cabins was very nice, but we were very scared that no one was there to answer our call when under threat. We had no idea what the intentions were of these men lurking outside our cabin and we couldn’t get ahold of any cabs or other hotels to take us. Even though the cabins and property were beautiful, we were not able to enjoy it as we didn’t sleep all night. We want to caution other travellers to be vigilant and hope the property takes initiative to build a fence or take precautions to keep others safe.

Hospedaje El Bosquecito is a family run property above a creek in a tranquil forest. We offer rooms that sleep between 2 - 4 people, with the choice of shared or private bathroom. The large kitchen is available for all guests to use. You will see monkeys, tucans and sloths from your window. The mountains are behind us and the beach is very close, just 3 km!

Reviewed By courzzieTime and time again Mari is the most spectacular hostess, incredibly accommodating. The rooms have been re-modeled, all with fresh closed in screens, and the showers all have shower heads. We absolutely adore staying here fo rate local vibe and family dinners!
