Stumbled across this gem whilst looking for somewhere to eat this evening. Lucky to get the last table available on arrival, very laid back friendly service. Whilst a small menu more than compensated for and justifies the high quality food. Certainly on the must re-visit list when here again. Thanks for a high class tasty meal and great value

Alberts eten&drinken

'Alberts Eten & Drinken' is a bar / restaurant with its own character. We are in one of the most beautiful and monumental buildings of Amersfoort. The restaurant is the old home from the Alberts family, who lived here for 50 years. You are welcome from 10

Quirky building with a very rich history, it dates back several centuries. You can still see that the walls are a bit curvy, which is very interesting. The food is very good, they combine an interesting fusion of European with South East Asian cuisine. Nice place for a after work drink and food with colleagues or friends

We had a pleasant lunch here which was a welcome break from our busy Saturday shopping trip. Service was quite slow, the staff seemed very young and inexperienced. My wife had the mushroom and truffle risotto which she rated (good size portion, though there wasn't any real truffle to be tasted). I had the 200g (7oz) Big Brother (hamburger) with fries. Very tasty and well prepared. It was plenty and I left feeling very full, so I am glad I didn't go for the 14oz burger. When we'd finished our mains, it had gotten quite hot where we were sat, so we decided to forego desert and have our coffee elsewhere and get a breath of fresh air.
