The location might be confusing, but yes it is the place at the gas station.
The lomo is excellent, try their tortilla, the portions are hugh.
All perfect.
Com'on it is Cambiaso's celebration restaurant, so there might be a chane you run into him.
It even has a kids room incl an attendant.

The owner told us the whole family have been compiling antiques of all kind from many different places. Decorated as a German pub they offer great picadas with a really varied assortment of cheeses and salames, full-flavoured beers made at the premises (as the owner says best from the tap), more than reasonable prices and if you are lucky enough to find the beer master not too busy he will tell you fascinating stories about this family business and the village. Unmissable if you like craft beer or just enjoy a nice drink in a great environment.

Pueblo Escondido

Since 2003 in Uribelarrea - a town that seems arrested in the time - we dedicate ourselves to the art of the Charcuterie, rescuing old Italian recipes of our grandparents to elaborate of artisan way charcuterie of exquisite flavor. Fatto a mano (handmade) is the motto that for three generations our family maintains in the elaboration of artisan cold cuts, which together with the use of selected raw materials and the due maturation time give our products smells and remarkable flavors. Our specialties are the Sicilian sopresatta, with ham cut with spiced knife with white and black pepper in grain, spianata with ground black pepper and in grain, the Calabrian sausage with anise and cayenne pepper, and for those who like the itch in the mouth the Neapolitan sausage, where the chili, paprika and fennel predominate. In addition we elaborate the most traditional salami of field and dry chorizo, and for powerful stews cantimpalo with Spanish paprika. We also specialize in ham, bondiola and pork loin stuffed in natural gut, and for the roasts of the weekend we make fresh sausages of pure pork, creole and Basque sausages, and sausage barbecue. In our Charcuterie you will find all our line of cold meats and the new line of traditional Italian cold cuts that we started to elaborate for Pietro Sorba. Also in the Warehouse, selected cheeses of cow, goat and sheep, jams, dulce de leche, honey, conserves and a Wine Cellar with labels of boutique wineries. And of course in our Casa de Picadas and Restaurant you will be able to taste and enjoy all our cold meats in our classic and famous chopping boards, our unforgettable homemade hamburgers, and our cuisine of homemade pasta dishes and meats with flavors of before.

The owner will give you honest advice about his alfajores (the wrapping decorated with the Basque flag, from his ancestors) but also sandals, leather items and many different kinds of handmade crafts from local producers: cheeses, liquors (be kind to accept the invitation to taste them but beware the alcoholic grade !!) and many others... the shop itself is a delight to browse around, you will surely leave with more things than you had anticipated, but worth the money.

This is a great experience especially if you travel with children, the attentive owner will show you around: the goats, the cheese making process... everything falls in place in this familiar and charming place, not easy to reach but worth the detour. The excursion should finish with a taste of homemade cakes and of course the local cheeses. You better phone first (02226 15516021) to make sure they will be there and ready to offer you their produce.
