Urayasu Food Guide: 10 Must-Eat Restaurants & Street Food Stalls in Urayasu

April 4, 2018 Marlin Saiz

Urayasu is part traditional fishing village, part Disney. It’s best known as the home of Tokyo Disneyland and Tokyo Disney Sea (and, naturally, the hotels, restaurants and shopping that accompany the theme parks). Most visitors are, naturally, here for the parks, but if you’re interested in the town’s history, a few old fishermen’s cottages can be toured.

Sherwood Garden Restaurant

Reviewed By Kimberly W - Morgan Hill, California

I was super excited about this breakfast buffet, and it looked just as spectacular as I thought it would. The room is beautiful with super comfortable over-sized chairs that overlook a beautiful garden. The food stretches out across the room and is impeccably spread out and decorated.
After speaking with one of the cast members, we found out that only food with a little red sticker on the tag was vegetarian. There were only a few of these red stickers, and this broke our hearts a little. This left us with some pretty unspectacular choices including pastries and cereal. With so much beautiful food surrounding us, we were bummed that we were so limited in our options.
We also found the staff to be more stand offish than anywhere else in the resort. Once we left we realized my husband had forgotten to cover his tattoos on this particular morning (I will add that all of his tattoos are space ships from Star Wars and Ghibli children movies). This note is for those who have tattoos and are considering visiting Tokyo Disney. It is in the rules that tattoos stay covered, and my husband adhered to this for most of our visit and we had no issues. On a particularly hot day he rolled up his sleeves once in the park and actually got a compliment from a staff member. At this restaurant, on this particular morning, it did seem to affect the way the staff treated us as his tattoos were visible. Nobody said anything, but their demeanor was definitely different.
Overall, if you eat meat this place is probably great and worth the money. Vegetarians will likely end up feeling a bit frustrated as all of the delicious looking food has meat in it.

Dined here once for dinner. The buffet was adequate--some dishes were better than others. I was a bit late one evening and some dishes had been picked over and not replenished. The morning breakfast buffet was slightly better.

Oceano

Reviewed By xx05yuna19xx - Urayasu, Japan

I have known this restaurant "Oceano" for 2 years, and I've visited here many times.
We can choose the style, buffet or course. I like "course" style (esespecially 3 dishes course!) better than buffet.
Because the seat is different, atmosphere is more calm and slowly. So I'm sure that you can spend more comfortable. (Actually, Buffet style is sometimes very noisy and it takes time to dish out!)
3 dishes course is so good! Because the price is the cheapest, and you can change the dessert ccourse. (special dessert to buffet dessert) I recomend you to change the buffet dessert. (You can taste a lot of yummy desserts!)
And one more advice, please visit the Halloween season.
Because "the pumpukin pudding" is really good. I love it.

Ristorante Di Canaletto

Reviewed By Juve_GLC - Santa Monica, California

This was our third day at the Tokyo Disney Resort. We were ready to make our way back to Tokyo Disneyland when we passed by Ristorante Di Canaletto.
We had seen some people go in the day before and seemed pretty excited that there were pizzas in the menu. At first I thought a pizza sounded good, but once I saw the other items in the menu I quickly changed my mind on what to order.
The restaurant is very elegant and the service is top notch. Just about everyone we spoke to knew English enough to have a pleasant experience here.
They have a great selection of wines and a good selection of beers.
My pasta was just right. Really loved the spicy sausage in it.
For such a nice restaurant, the prices were very affordable. I look forward in eating here for my next visit.

I must say this experience was pretty amazing, and more than we expected. The show was fantastic and the whole family enjoyed, and joined in. The food was special too.
We had a miscommunication over the children's ages. Even though they were 9 & 11 at the time, they were classed as adults. They chose to have the children's menu, we were still charged adult price.
However the overall experience overcame this initial disappointment.

We were there for late-night food. The interior is beautiful. The paster was alright, but the cakes were nice. I saw a restaurant photographer taking pictures and put it in a nice frame for couples. I was with Mother and we did not have any special occassion, but I asked to be taken a picture too and he kindly took one and also put in a nice frame for us :) It's a beautiful cafe and I do recommend it!
