Perched atop the Birmingham Plateau in the tiny rural hamlet of Forhill just two miles south of historic Kings Norton this charming red brick former coaching inn is a hidden gem in the North Worcestershire countryside. A real country pub built in 1828 on
Fantastic atmosphere as always! Elliot (manager) was as friendly and helpful as always-nothing is too much trouble. The food was delicious, fizz Friday was fantastic, and we even had room to share a pudding which was amazing!!! Looking forward to coming back already!

The Swan in Alvechurch is a village pub, serving great beer since the 1700's. We Serve great beer and local ales, we don't serve food. We have a beautiful beer garden at the rear of the building where you can relax and enjoy the weather.
This public house has recently got new Landlord/ladies I met with freinds I used to work with for a Christmas catch up. It is a Traditional old pub . We were made to feel very welcome indeed. There were some Carol singers practising which added to the ambiance of the evening. There were 2 seperate areas the one side had a pool table (May have been snooker - not my thing) and I think there was a darts board. They are not currently serving food although we were offered mince pies - they do plan to have a menu in the future. Parking maybe an issues although I found parking a short walk away .. Excellent proper 'old' pub good luck to the new owners I think they will maximise its potential

Went there early on Sat evening, restaurant was almost deserted. My friends meat main course was fine but my vegan moussaka was woeful! A small pot of spicy lentils, one thin slice of aubergine and a small side salad, certainly not worth the asking price. Restaurant manager needs to be aware just because you don't eat meat you still expect a decent amount of food! Only gave two stars because meat dish okay.

Good food and well kept real ale. Nothing out of the ordinary, just typical pub food, but well prepared, well presented and nice tasting. The pub is now clean and tidy too after slipping standards in recent years - the new hosts are obviously more passionate about what they do!

This restaurant is absolutely outstanding. The food is incredible, service is timely and the staff are incredibly friendly. We went for a relatives birthday which was a Tuesday, and they had an offer of half a rotisserie chicken with a sauce (sauce could be anything from hunters chicken to satay)as well as two sides which included vegetables, rice and chips. You can truly make the meal your own. On a Tuesday, this is only £6!! (I think it was £9.95 the rest of the time). When I looked around the restaurant it seemed that many people had taken this offer. They have different offers on things through out the week, and itâs great as it ensures they have people in the restaurant - better to not be making as much profit in the week rather than an empty restaurant!!Iâd highly recommend this to anyone from couples, dates to families and celebrations!!Cannot moan that in the week you can get an amazing meal for two for less that £25 including a drink each!Thank you for your comments . We do try to engage our guests to have the best value and experience we can offer .

Moored at the marina and made our way to the pub for 7pm opening, talked outside with regular who explained pub would open promptly at 7 when outside light was turned on and it didWalked into bar and noticed a lot of reserved tables but spotted a 4 seater and moved towards it......then advised that we couldn't stay for food as they were already booked up!!What a joke and very rude landlord, didn't hold out much hope for the couple who had booked but turned up with a dog (not allowed) so guess he'd be 2 bookings down after allDidn't get to check out the pub but did note toilets for the premises were actually the marina ones so not self contained - not a great advertisement for the marina at all and ABC need to look at staffing for the pubWe are sorry to hear you were disappointed when you visited us. Unfortunately we are a small converted cottage with limited room. Our kitchen has a good reputation and we are regularly fully booked before we open. We do not like turning custom away but would compromise the quality that is produced if we tried to serve everyone which is why we always advise booking a table in advance. We do not allow dogs inside the main building but do have an outside enclosed area that is heated where they are welcome. We hope that you would consider returning to us in the future
