This place has become our regular choice of curry venue, especially on Thursdays, for the banquet evening. Excellent food at a very reasonable price with friendly service. Ideally located in the centre of town with plenty of parking. HighlyRecommended

We were a party of nine a Friday night and ordered many dishes , everything arrived piping hot , freshly cooked ,tasty and generously portioned.Service was very friendly and professional and the bill reasonable for the amount of food and drink we had.A little out of the way but well worth a trip.Thanks to the Chef and Staff for a lovely curry and a very pleasant dining experience.

What can I say?: excellent! take your own bottles of fizz ***My friendâs birthday and was fab; they helped make it special!Iâm not keen on Indian per se; but my chicken tikka and keema rice was beautiful and they converted a non nut or spice eater to being their cuisine lover too!Really great service, friendly staff, fair pricing, excellent fresh Columbia coffee and oh and on site parking.***You can take own bottles of wine in with no corkage fees! Well done guys! X

Was fortunate enough to secure a table for 4 tonight for Indian tapas night This is a bring your own wine or beer evening and enjoy beautiful home made Indian food The restaurant was completely full plus a couple of tables outside on the rear terrace The food was divine - poppadums, chicken and mango salad, home made pickles, samosas, lamb and chicken kebabs,all sorts of exquisitely wonderful Indian delicacies. Real Indian family food - not a madras or korma to be seen Subtle spices which were blended cleverly The atmosphere was superb The food was genuinely outstanding Looking forward to our next visit

Been using this takeaway for years and always found them very good. Bit disappointed with recent visit. Tarka Dahl mostly just salty and pretty bland, Raita very runny and lacking flavour and Chicken Tikka Masala also bland with loads of very violently coloured sauce but no heat at all. Other dishes- Jalferezi and rice well-flavoured and much more interesting. hope this was just a blip.

Being local we visit the Shahi Raj frequently and we have never had a bad meal. The staff are very helpful and friendly, the atmosphere is relaxed and leisurely and the choice of food is excellent.
