Not sure what happened here tonight but I would give the bar another try if I am in the area- why? Because the lady did her best to resolve a situation that was not of her making - I ordered chicken and leek pie and asked if it contained mushrooms - no it definitely doesn’t was her reply - but when it came it was crammed with them - her chef trying to use initiative or something!! She did bring wine and garlic bread and offered alternatives to try and compensate and it didn’t ruin our evening!! but yes I was disappointed to be honest (I can’t eat mushrooms) however my husband absolutely loved his corn beef hash so I’m glad about that

On arriving the pub was busy locals very friendly but used a lot of swear words when talking despite several young children present.Landlord led on a dog bed placed by the bar petted his dogs got up and served behind the bar...........no washing of hands. Why we continued to eat god only knows.Food steak small for the cost and the chips half raw some cooked ok..very doubtful that they were home made .Menu very limited burgers I think three different types, moussaka, chilli, and steak. When I go out I want something that I have not eaten as a midweek dinner. We hoped it would of changed under new management sadly not.Hi Sharran, thank you for your review. We appreciate all feedback, review and act accordingly. We are a country pub and you are correct the locals are very friendly, but as people do when they are in a public house they can use colorful language sometimes. Which we do try and manage as much as is possible during the daytime especially when there are children present. But again I reiliterate this is a public house not a playground or cafe. We do also have a separate restaurant area away from the main bar which you could have been seated in if requested. With regards to the dogs the landlord is very conscientious about hygiene and is normally very festiduois about washing his hands following petting the dogs, not sure what happened this time. As advertised on our menu, all our fresh ingredients are from local suppliers and the steaks are cut individually by hand by our local butcher and can range from 7 to 8 Oz which is average weight. Nor sure how many local establishments you have eaten in in the local area but we are by far the cheapest and when you consider all the extras you get with the meal it is more than reasonably priced. Our KP is very upset that you think the chips are not homemade as he spends most mornings peeling and chipping spuds ready for the evening service not an easy feat! We have a policy here at the Twnti where we table check each meal this is so we have the opportunity to put right something which a customer may not be happy with - if we don't know about it we can't fix it!! We have a small menu, that is because we provide home cooked meals using local quality products, we are not a from frozen to fryer or microwave pub. We are proud to be a small traditional Inn serving home cooked food! And on a final note I would suggest that if you want to eat something which you think is not a midweek dinner, then you perhaps you would be better booking a high class restaurant - I hear Plas Bodegroes is very nice.

A lovely traditional Welsh Inn with restaurant & rooms

Called in for tea. There was a group of us who all ordered seperately but one after the other. The food arrived at half hourly intervals and was very poor when it arrived to the point that you could not even cut the chicken nuggets. The last to order waited an hour and a half for food. I honestly could of done the whole lot within half an hour myself. We were told that one of the chefs hadn't turned up but we were told by a lical they haven't got a chef. Avoid at all costs. I would have given no stars if I could.

n March 2019 Bessie & Ray took over Porters Cove from the previous Managers. We are situated in the middle of Abersoch with a patio overlooking the High Street ideal for people watch whilst enjoying drinks, meals or Tapas from our Menus and Special board.

We recently visited this restaurant and had to wait over an hour for our meals. When we enquired as to where our food was, the owner/manager told me that you can see how busy we are and that her staff are going to get it for not telling our party that there was always going to be a delay. We were shown a total lack of respect and when we further questioned the reason for the delay we were told that they had lots of customers outside and when we arrived at 6pm there weren’t many customers so it was no excuse. I will not be going back to this restaurant as the food and service are no better than a very poor chain pub. In my view this needs an total overhaul and understand actual what this place is, as it’s not better than a poor chain pub!Hi there kellySorry you did not enjoy your night But I have to say you did have a wait But it was a very busy night .I come over and brought you a bottle off wine . And said how busy we were. Then I came over and asked if everything okYou said things were goodThen the food come and I come over twice To see if everything was ok And you all said it was lovely so I really don’t know want this review is aboutYou all said you had a enjoyable evening
