Meant to be family lunch but turned out be a nightmare.Burgers from barbecue which were not cooked enough hence stomach up set.Waited 50 minutes for a bowl of chips and two kids meals which was basicfish and chips and kept asking eventually told the lost the order so cancelled the kids meals and wold think twice about recommending them.Dear hermineb725Thank you for taking the time to leave your review. Sunday roast celebration for 5 people. Based on Trip Advisor's excellent reviews this was hugely disappointing. Limited starter menu, dreadful selection of 5 deserts and an average roast. Yorkshire puddings were average and small - just as well had ordered extras. Advertise 'unlimited gravy' but bring in tiny jugs - when asked if could simply bring a large jug for the table I was advised they don't have any large jugs! Felt sorry for the waitress who was running around with jugs of gravy as a result. Best Sunday Roast in Surrey? - not a chance. Eaten better roasts at a host of other pubs before this.Thank you for your review, really disappointing to hear you didn't enjoy. This pub is friendly and welcoming with a brilliant gin selection and really good menu. Food is good quality and tasty and much better than standard pub grub. Itâs reasonably priced too. They do a veggie menu on Mondays which is a bit disappointing if youâre a carnivore!

I had a booked (just aswell!) lunch withn 2 friends. Have visited here several times. Nice ambience. Lovely staff. Delicious food. Couldn't ask for more! I had the scallops and prawns Wellington starter, which was in a delicious sauce and was exquisite. I decided to go veggy today, so had the mushroom Wellington, also delicious; the pastry on both dishes was perfect. My colleagues had prawn cocktail starters, modern style not retro, both almost as large as a main course. Their sea bass and duck mains looked fantastic. Don't know cost as I wasn't paying, but who cares when everything is so good?!

We had not visited The Grumpy Mole for a few years as had had a couple of disappointing meals. However, thought we would give it a chance and were very pleasantly surprised!Excellent service from our waitress and a very good menu.Both our meals were excellent....especially the steak and kidney pudding!!Lovely setting and easy parking. Will certainly return again.
