My wife and I visited Nipa Hut in Newport for an evening meal with our friends.We were treated to a great welcome by the staff and chef who is the owner.The food is superb quality, a real taste of the phillipines at a really affordable price.It was great to try so many different types of phillipino food and I have to say that everything we tried was excellent.We will definitely return to try the rest of the menu !!Definitely worth a visit.

Eat here a few times during business trip as Ppool I not blessed with what one may call a food culture !!!In summary = food OK and prices reasonable but served by staff who were without doubt the most aloof, distant, disinterested bordering on ignorant you will ever meetSame on both occasions so not an off night Either get them to go on and pass a customer care course or get rid and get some who do want to be there !!Their attitudes will spoil your mealThank you for your comment. However, we rarely have service issues. It is obvious that you felt strongly about it. We would like to apologise and also like to investigate in order to assess next course of action. Anniversary dinner for us was a delightful surprise. We had if course read the reviews but nonetheless we were surprised and delighted by the quality and service we experienced. This chef has real talent and our only complaint was there was too much food. Unfortunately the prawn starters were irresistible, and despite a leisurely gap between courses hardly had room for the mains. Chicken Agra and other delicious main with onion rice which was absolutely deliciousToo much again and left with doggy bag and goofy bag - all wonderful.Really very good, highly recommended

We visited for a family night out, after not going to the restaurant for a while.Staff were still as friendly as we rememberedThe food was good and lots of it, starters were good although they had moved things around since our last visit so missed some bits on our first pass but found everything on a second look aroundLots of different Currys, rices, and other dishes to choose fromChoice of sweets is also really good and lots of options to suit everyoneLook out for special deals on Mondays, well worth following tiffins on Facebook and email for updates and codesGreat place to eat, but absolutely no good if you are dieting lol
