Serving traditional English fish and chips to eat in or takeaway. Our fish is fresh not frozen and sourced from sustainable stocks. We are open every Saturday and Sunday 12-5
After many years of the elders blocking attempts to establish a chip shop in the village there was finally a success. It is the only chippy in the village, but they do not rely on their monopoly for custom but offer good food at fairly reasonable prices. (Only slightly more than a local "back home", but reasonable for being in a tourist hot-spot)!
After walking past and smelling the deliciousness coming out of the door we had to venture in and ask what they do. They are a donut type cone which are filled with freshly made homemade ice cream, and different fillings. We had an apple pie one which had apple sauce, granola and an amazing caramel sauce on top. It was quite possibly the nicest, freshest taking sweet thing we have ever had! The lady who runs it, i am assuming, Bunty, explained that she makes everything herself fresh that day, even the ice cream and sauces. I want to return to try all the other flavours. If you are in Castleton, dont walk past, you wont regret it!!

We always come here for our Fish & Chips (and fry-its, sausages, curry sauce etc etc) and are never disappointed. The portions (especially chips) are generous, and the service speed is never a problem. No need to worry about your place in line, Mr Elliott is on top of things. Even though you might think nit, given the ribbing that goes on here. All part of the service

Great fish and chips, friendly staff what more could you ask of a chippy. The owner said I would enjoy them and I did. (The guy from Biddulph if you remember our conversation)
