I've wanted to go here for years but never got round to it. Definitely worth the wait. You go up to the counter where the uncooked meat, fish etc is on display to make your choice. There are also various blackboard menus including a 2 course lunch menu for £13.99 which we all went for. I had the smoked mackerel with beetroot which was great. The others had tomato and red pepper soup, also good. We had garlic bread which was so yummy. Warm crusty bread with garlic butter dip. All main courses were good especially the leg of lamb and the chips were superb! The sticky toffee pudding was huge, too big really but tasty and my creme Catalan was excellent. The staff were very good and helpful. The setting is wonderful. I want to go back!

Went here on a fairly busy Sunday afternoon after going on a very long walk with our jack Russell. We were looking for somewhere to eat where we could take our dog inside and came across the Drago Lounge. Have been to lounge bars before so knew what to expect and this one didnât disappoint. We had burgers, drinks, salted caramel cheesecake and coffees and all were excellent in both taste and value. The cheesecake was one of best we have ever had and the coffees were fantastic. Clean plates, full bellies and fantastic service - what more can you ask for? Brilliant place to eat if youâre single, couples, with children or dogs. Can not fault.Thanks for taking the time to leave such a lovely review, the cheese cake is a great pudding and always recommend as it never disappoints. I'm glad you shared your experiences of Drago and hope to see you soon.Joe

My wife and visited on Saturday 28 September 2019 arriving at 1830. A plus for the night was that the food was very good but the service was efficient to the point of lacking any personal touch making the ambiance cold and not very inviting. Seating arrangements designed to squeeze them in.

Arrived to find we were only ones in on Saturday at 1pm. Soon folks and their dogs arrived but the restaurant was not as full as expected. We chose indian lunch option which was beautifully presented and consisted chicken tikka style in a chapati style bread wrap and an onion bhahji.

We always visit Sixteen for special occasions. We love the relaxed ambiance and the service is always spot on.The food is always beautifully presented and the menu changes regularly meaning there is always something new to try. Cocktails are also really good!

Called at the Snug last week as we were passing and had a lovely lunch. The best tuna melt panini I have ever had. Truly delicious. We sat outside in a covered courtyard area with the dog and had a lovely relaxed lunch. Highly recommend making the effort to find this lovely little quirky place.

Second time at Meat, bubbly and lively, atmospheric the minute you walk through the door. Packed out both nights, great friendly efficient front of house staff. The food is fast, fresh and very tasty, varied menu, good choice of burgers and drinks at a very good price. A must if near or in Newport. Plenty of parking in the area.

Definitely worth going to sample the quirky setting and the cosy welcome feeling. The staff are really friendly and prices are reasonable. We had the Mexican breakfast as looking for something different and it was really tasty and good quality ingredients. We would definitely go back

My wife and I visited Nipa Hut in Newport for an evening meal with our friends.We were treated to a great welcome by the staff and chef who is the owner.The food is superb quality, a real taste of the phillipines at a really affordable price.It was great to try so many different types of phillipino food and I have to say that everything we tried was excellent.We will definitely return to try the rest of the menu !!Definitely worth a visit.
