They have nice foods and good service! The olive oil is special and tasty meet, humm...... But, you have to go a nice spirit because you will taste special food and wine, so you can fly after gone their.

An old fashioned brewery with an excellent restaurant (and good beer) with genuine Bavarian specialties on the menu and at a very good price. The brewery is located in the center of the old town of Traunstein and has a large patio overlooking the surrounding villages and parts of the older original housing. The inside still has the original copper tanks and a unique atmosphere. The beer is excellent as you would expect and the food good with very reasonable prices.
This is a local favorite for special events such as weddings and anniversary parties but still caters to the locals who come in for their daily "stammtisch" as well as local families for their after church dinner for the family.
A very pleasant experience for food and drink in a truly old German way!

Rather small restaurant not far from the market place. We had a limited luncheon for a small appetite, with a nice spaghetti bolognese with lamb with light Italian white wine from Orvieto. Tasted very nice at a tiny but relaxed Terrace. They have a small card but varied daily menu. And the waiter was very helpful. Prices are okay.

very fine Restaurant with also outdoorsy places under old tree`s, very good food and a fantastic tast of bavarian beer, realy cheap prices, friendly service and peoples around in the beergarden - 100% rekommnendation for all visitors of this old town Traunstein with here old history.

Very nice beer-garden, bit outside the centre. They have good draft beer, more sorts, and simple but tasty food that goes well with your thirst. Garden is underneath threes, children have enough equipment to play and staff is efficient. The place to go at a sunny afternoon. You can complete the day by going to the very good adjacent restaurant.

We found this cafe restaurant a short walk from the train station. Wonderful hot lunch specialities for under 6 euros and fresh cakes! We had Jaeger Schitzel loaded with mushrooms and bacon. There was a cosy log fire and the place was packed with locals. Sorry - your secret is out!

We were staying just a few hundred meters from this place and decided to give its take-away a try.... place was full, anyways (better reserve if you want to try it). Waiting was 35 mins so kind of reasonable considering the density of people inside.
We had four Pizze, all of some special kinds, and four salads. The salads were a bit small but fresh and crunchy and the Pizze were delicious although still German style with a thick dough.

Nice garden, also interior looks nice. They had nice steaks and hamburgers, a lot of varieties. Not a very extensive card, but some fish and for meat eaters it will certainly do. Nice enthusiastic staff. Next to the restaurant there is a good beer garden, nice to combine. Restaurant is not very cheap, but you will survive it, and it's acceptable for what you get.
