Bohemian Paradise is a large area significant for its rock castles. It is made of three parts and we will visit one of them, the most beautiful - Prachov Rocks. Just one hour by car from Prague, the park is situated 5 km from Jičín city. Mostly local Czech tourists admire mostly local Czech climbers who are trying to conquer various rocks in the park. Yes, this park is still not completely "found" by foreign tourists. However, it is very popular by Czech tourists. You will be climbing constantly up and down to admire another and another view. It is great and intense experience in a virgin nature. You should be moderately fit if you want to see everything. However, the trail may be shortened if you are tired. The total / longest distance of trail in the rocks is 5 km and you can see even little kids climbing all the way with their parents. There is a possibility of lunch after the tour. Park is open all year long.

Inclusions: Air-conditioned vehicle, Snacks, Bottled water, WiFi on board, Ticket to the park, Trekking poles

Exclusions: Lunch

If I could give negative rating I would. The tour suppose to be in English, but somehow another party was added with French. No information, no history, hard to understand (maybe French part was better). After 3 hours of struggle we quit, not worth the money paid.

Michal did a private virtual tour for my group yesterday, which was excellent. He was engaging, very knowledgeable and the photos were fantastic. He tailored it to the interests of my group, and I got A LOT of positive feedback after. I would highly recommend a tour with Michal, and hope to get to Prague one day to do his tour in person.

8. Czech paradise hiking

Vratislavova 58/3, 128 00 Praha 2-Vyšehrad, Czechia BIKO Adventures Prague - MTB, E-bike, Road Bike, Hiking & Outdoor Tours, Bike Rental

A hike in “the rock city” of the Czech paradise (Cesky Raj in Czech), a Unesco world heritage site 100 km from Prague. We picked the Czech Paradise among all the nice rock areas we have in the CR, like for example Czech Switzerland or Aderspach, because it is as beautiful as the other places but less crowded (it is mainly visited by locals) and close enough to Prague to make it a nice day trip with no too much driving. The characteristic element of the Bohemian Paradise are beautiful castles and sandstone rock pillars. Many of them have been shaped by wind, water, frost, erosion, and people into unique and curious shapes. We will walk around, under and over many of the 365 sandstone pillars. We will discover rock gates, niches, caves and cavities, balancing boulders and rock mushrooms. We will walk through “Lord of the Rings” like forests. A hike full of fun due to the uniqueness and peculiarity of the trek.

Inclusions: Guiding, Transfer, Hearty lunch, Bottle of water, Entrance fees

Absolutely great ride in a unique setting. Krystof was a world class guide. He knows the trails inside out. I brought my own full suspension bike and Krystof smartly guided me over 60km of trails in a natural and urban environment around the Prague area that perfectly matched my riding skills/style and the ability of my equipment. The hills around Prague offer some amazing riding and you find a lot of different features riding in the various trails. Jumps in all sizes, beautiful and challenging rock and root sections, technical single track, and good berms-rhythm flow trails in the deep woods. Krystof expertly linked all these together in one perfect loop with some fantastic views over Prague for an awesome day of riding, and even worked in a stop at a small local biergarten at the end. The team at Biko Adventures are true professionals and are both knowledgeable and passionate about what they do. The online booking process was smooth and easy even though I booked last minute, and they got back to me right away even though it was after the shop closed. I will definitely be back to ride with them again!
