Olkusz [ˈɔlkuʂ] (Yiddish: עלקיש‎ Elkish, German: 1941-45 Ilkenau) is a town in south Poland with 36,607 inhabitants (2014). Situated in the Lesser Poland Voivodeship (since 1999), previously in Katowice Voivodeship (1975–1998), it is the capital of Olkusz County. From 1941 to 1945, the occupying Germans renamed the region to Ilkenau. Olkusz is called 'Silver Town" because of the large amount of silver that was found and mined here.

The museum is one of the largest museums presenting art and culture of Africa. The museum was established thanks to donations submitted by Bogdan Szczygiel. You can watch the utensils of daily use, clothing, ritual masks, musical instruments, amulets, sculptures and jewelry and weapons from different regions of Africa. The museum is the private collection of art and paintings of Africa.

Me and my boyfriend went here and it was a great experience, I shot about 3 bullets and bottled out but they let my partner use my shots and I took pictures behind... Give it a go, if you don't like it you can stop but very professional! My partner has been shooting range in Las Vegas and this was 10times better as they let you load the gun as well.

I would like to recommend Ogrodzieniec Castle. Great History, Great area for Families including 4 thematic parks. Nice Parking Area, good restaurants with good drinks. Really nice part of Polish History. That places really shows culture of Polish nation. Highly recommended for Polish Citizen and International Visitors.

Wladyslaw Wolkowski (1902-1986) was called "the Michelangelo of wicker." She made by wicker chairs, tables and compositions still surprising originality of solutions and are a testament to the talent of this artist. The particular nature have large, colorful tapestries and rugs. The museum is located in the historic Manor House Machnickich and is Poland's largest collection of his works.

We have gone to Krakow Valley Golf club for a business event - some golf first steps and a grill. Facilities are top notch, everything is well prepared, cared for, clean and professional. Food was excellent which all made it a great place for a friends/business visit. Would definitely recommend for those who'd like to learn to play golf or just enjoy some amateur games on the green and eat/drink.

Niewielkie, ale ciekawe muzeum. Można oglądać zbiory sprzętu strażackiego (często inikaty), hełmów, pasów, toporów i mundurów strażackich z XIX i XX wieku a także samochodów i... konnych sikawek. Najcenniejszy eksponat to dzwon alarmowy z 1642 roku, Ponadto dokumenty, fotografie, medale i odznaczenia oraz stare monety i bogata kolekcja hełmów strażackich z przełomu XIX i XX wieku.. Muzeum czynne od poniedziałku do piątku po wcześniejszym uzgodnieniu telefonicznym.
