We are extremely impressed how maritim history is arranged here. Especially kids will experience fun in facts and history. You see original parts of ships. Arranged over three floors. Facts which are different from pther maritim museums: e.g. the women on board, family, history till the 70th., and and and.
Absolutely worth to visit. Note: currently you pay one entry and can come back for free one more time. Nice offer.

Old pilot station, museum and cafe.

I visited Kobba Klintar one freezing cold day in November. Although the café was closed, the upshot was having the little island all to myself and appreciating its isolation. It's nice to wander around, watch the huge Ferries sailing past, and contemplate the beauty of nature. At first, it's easy to mistake the carefully placed two life-size statues for real people.

This is a nice peaceful place for a stroll with a lovely beach - but I am not so sure about the animal/bird exhibits though. The peacocks are certainly beautiful but the cages are very small.

The Maritime Quarter

Reviewed By JariJK - Kouvola, Finland

The Maritime Quarter (Sjökvarteret) is a very nice place especially if the weather is good. You see old wooden boathouses here. If you are lucky, you may even watch boat-building activities. There are also a museum (e.g. hot-bulb engines and old marine engines), a seafarers' chapel, a restaurant named Pub Niska and some handicraft or jewel boutiques here. It is free to walk here and watch historical buildings or beautiful views. We loved this place although it is quite small.

This small museum, housed in the same building as the Cultural History Museum, sets out a series of works by local artists. Given the island's small population, the number of indigenous artists is by definition limited but that are still a few noteworthy pieces in the room. Admission to the Cultural History Museum includes entry to the Art Museum.

PAF Casino has moved into the same building with Hotel Arkipelag. It's a bit smaller inside, but the quality is good. There is some slots you can see in Las Vegas but there is also couple of 10-year old slots too.
Few poker tables and roulette is a good value too.
What a nice way to spend couple of euros and hours in Mariehamn.
