Easy trail which follows the coast line for about 30-40 minutes (each way). Spectacular views. We loved it. Francis point has great spots for picnic or just relaxing.

Smuggler Cove Marine Provincial Park

Reviewed By downwithsnobs - Edmonton, Canada

Enjoyed a lovely hike into Smuggler Cove. Well marked trail and enough points to view from to satisfy the average hiker. The only drawback is the apparent accepted norm for some people to treat the trails as their own living room. Please don't holler at each other when you're in the trails. Some of us actually go for a walk in the woods for some peace and quiet to enjoy nature.

you need to visit these rapids when it is high tide , the waves are immense and watching some stunt kayakers in the waves was amazing entertainment, their skill was stunning. Its a beautiful easy walk on good paths to the falls.

Reviewed By John S - Dublin, Ireland

This is an enjoyable experience, and in 90 minutes covers so many inlets, coves, Islands also focusing on some of the luxury houses and yachts dotted along the coastline. Mind you, it is difficult to get one's head around the actual geography/route taken. All is comprehensively backed up by the amusing and knowledgeable Sandy - with anecdotes to beat the band. Not cheap but good value.

We're so glad we came across the Secret Cove Sail Tours website when planning our trip to the Sunshine Coast.
The sailboat was beautiful. We enjoyed hearing about the Islands and the history of the area from Rick and Julie. Their seamanship capabilities are impressive. They could not be better hosts. They care about the details and it shows.
We can't wait to return.

Pender Hill Park

Reviewed By RockyMountainKid - Calgary, Canada

This trail is a good climb to the top but is fairly short. The trail could have had more switchbacks designed into it in the middle section other wise it was a nice trail through the trees to the top of Pender Hill. Once at the top there are great views to the east and South.
Use Google to locate the trail head and parking.

Iris Griffith Wetlands

Reviewed By AuntyEm2013 - Mission, Canada

We had been told to check this out. Nobody mentioned it wasn't open during the week. We arrived to find a group of children enjoying the facility. When we asked if we could walk the trails and if there was a map, we still weren't told it wasn't really open. We were told that the trails would end up bringing us back to the building. We were a little confused about the whole thing so we just left. Maybe some day we'll go back when there someone there to tell us about the place.

Pender Harbour Golf Club

Pender Harbour Golf Course is a 9 hole course located on the Sunshine Coast of British Columbia. Carved from the Caren range the course has substantial elevation changes as well as flat valley holes. Narrow fairways and fast undulating greens challenge all levels of golfer. Nature highlights the course with salmon spawning streams and spectacular vistas that complete your golf experience.

This 9 hole golf course is what golf in Canada is all about. Low key, great value, huge volunteer effort, no frills, no elitism - just great golf in a spectacular setting. Mountains, Waterfalls , not a condo (or any other building) within sight. Greens are exceptionally fast for the area at this time of year. It made me want to retire here and with unlimited couples dues at just $ 2000 for a year (for year round golf) - that might make retirement a possibility. Worth checking out!
