Muenze Hall

It was raining a bit the day we went but it still was a fine trip A nice town kept in the middle ages motif. Not far from Innsbruck- 10 miles. There are coffee shops for a quick stop for rest. A few churches are also open for visit.
Would have been much better on a better day.

Pfarrkirche St. Nikolaus

Reviewed By Robby G C - Toronto, Canada

This church is quite interesting and unusual. At the entrance of the church are skulls covered by cloth for everyone to see.
Still this church is quite huge for such a small community. It was build sometime in the 13th century. Then disaster hit it in the 17th century, when an earthquake caused the tower to collapse. It was renovated in the Baroque style. This is why this church is so lovely!
We enjoyed wandering around and looked at all the relics. Still we did not find any info about these skulls at the entrance. It's a mystery!

Jesuitenkirche

Reviewed By TravelEuropeGal - Bonita Springs, Florida

This church may be small, but it is really striking inside. The white ceilings set off the gold ornamentation so that it shimmers even when no lights are on inside. The main doors are usually open, but twice when we went in, there was an iron gate preventing you from gaining access to the main part of the church. You can still see inside, though. They opened the church Friday evening at 7pm and we were able to go inside and marvel at the beauty. If you are staying in Hall, it is certainly worth a look.

A beautiful church, apparently part of a convent run by only three nuns. At any one time, one of the nuns is praying - in silence, and with no face visible. If you seek some escape from the hustle and bustle of the modern world, this is probably a good place to start. Or you may simply wish to admire the superb craftsmanship of this sacred space.

This little chapel dates back to 1330. There are several frescos to enjoy from 3 centuries. Of note is the late Gothic winged altar. Since the 20's the chapel has been dedicated to fallen Soldiers.

St. Magdalenen-Kapelle

The mural to pay particular attention to is on your immediate right as you enter this wonderful space. It's a colourful Middle Ages vision of heaven and hell, complete with bishops in the jaws of a very hellish lion - surely some mistake...?!
