Went to the comedy show with some family and friends. The comics were all very friendly, I would say that the beer is over priced and not a very good selection. They offer Kokanee, Budweiser and maybe a couple more. This place could be so much better it has a lot of potential, try offering some micro brewed beer. And spruce the place up a bit, it smells like body Oder in there and could really use a good cleaning and updated bathrooms. God knows with the amount they charge they can afford it.

The Pomeroy Sport Centre is very centrally located close to the Totem Mall, and various other shopping areas. The Pomeroy Sport Centre has many activities throughout the year including hockey, speed skating, Trade Fairs, and other activities. It also has a great walking track.

I took my 4 year old grandaughter to visit, and we learned a lot about the area, and its peoples and creatures, including the Charlie Lake caves with some of earliest human remains in BC and the surrounding heritage buildings are also wonderful to prowl...MoreWe are happy you learned new things and enjoyed our historic buildings. We are constantly developing new exhibits to share the history of the North Peace region. Please come again soon.

As a visitor from out of town, I was totally impressed by the new look. The gallery is inviting and the art is well displayed. We were there for a gallery opening and had a great time. As well, our four-yr-old granddaughter was not only tolerated but made to feel quite welcome, too.
The new management is to be congratulated!
We will be back.

We decided to get some exercise and a friend recommended Charlie Lake. Lots of trails from beginner to more difficult that were lovely to walk in summer, but I'm presuming would be even better snowshoeing or cross country skiing in winter.
Easy to navigate with adequate signage
, this would be a wonderful place for beginners and those with young kids to start out and practice on.

We loved camping here last summer. There are lots of trails to walk, and there is even a large space to have a game of baseball or football. The only thing I didn't like was that Charlie lake gets a little bit grimey from time to time. I'm told it's not a big deal, but I was weirded out coming from Ontario - the land of pristine lakes - so I didn't swim in it. Still, overall recommend it as a great spot to camp!
But the main review is the skiing. It's a lot fun to cross-country skii here on the trails in the winter. There are miles of groomed track you can access for just a couple of bucks.

We love this 9 hole course. It is such a family friendly atmosphere. My entire family has come out to enjoy it, including my young son to our grandpa. We all have a great time when we come to play. Sometimes we get treated to some deer or moose on the 8th hole.
During a bad weather season, the greens can be pretty shabby sometime, however, they are doing the best they can do... and we should remind ourselves of that. We are playing golf in the north.
The cost for a round may seem expensive for some when you add in a cart, but its all worth it in the end. Still beats a good day at the office. I will definitely play more rounds here and bring my friends and family. The customer service is also a nice welcoming treat.

I went with my boyfriend and just for something different to do. I wish I brought some good shoes with me. The trails that we went on were rather difficult, but it was a good kind of difficult. It's great year round although some trails were out of commission becuase they weren't used much, but all the trails/bridges were kept in good working order. Different types of trails for different levels of hiking skills. Great place to go with your pets and family members for a great day of hiking!!!
Me and my boyfriend went for the whole afternoon exploring the different trails, but there are long and shorter trails, there is a map there showing you all the trails. According to the City of Fort st John's website some of the trails are wheel chair friendly.

Such a cool place! Lots to choose from, candy, Sodas, European chocolate, and antique signs (original and antique look). If you have kids in the car, best place to stop and keep the little ones entertained. Grown ups will take advantage of this stop too! : )
