We rented a cottage and you get the full experience here! We ate at several local restaurants but they all paled in comparison. I saw a lot of people doing carry out food and I totally get it after trying a few other local places. Make sure to try the pizza and hand breaded chicken tenders! Ooh, forgot about the bacon wrapped frided cheese curds! Cottages are clean, updated and have dish network so that on rainy days the kids can watch TV. Make sure to have drinks at the Tiki bar and take advantage of the beautiful sunsets. I’m hoping to have friends come at the same time we do next year to make the stay even more memorable! Covid ruined my “regular” vacay plans and I generally don’t do any vacation twice, but I am committing to coming back to timberline next year! This is Wisconsin at its best! It was great to be reminded about how great old fashioned WI vacays can be! We will see you next summer Jesse, Emily and Cindy!

Clean park and clean it toilets. Plenty of parking, nice area for a family outing. 61 steps down to see the falls. Very pretty. $5 entry fee.

Great quiet campground. Few electric site and some were a little underwhelming but we had a great site. Park has access to a small lake with a beach which we enjoyed kayaking around. Also access to lower cauldron reservoir which is good for boating, kayaking. And fishing . We did a little biking on the park road and enjoyed hiking. We saw deer with their fawn and mama bear with two cubs. You can also go tubing and whitewater rafting nearby. we plan to come back.

Actually ALL the food is excellent, especially the perch on Friday night. Go before 6 if you can otherwise you have to wait a while.
