Parco Gallorose

This park reminded us of the ikea of tourist attractions - there is no map - you just follow the trail around a intricately laid out park, and we had no idea no long it would take. It seems small when you first go in and wonder "is this it" but it really does go on for ages, and many of the more interesting animals are towards the end. Take plenty of water and keep up the pace. There are also quite random exhibits of collections - for example, drinks cans, and old italian posters, and farm equipment. Some were quite interesting but without any other language explanations it was hard to understand the connection with the animal park, to be honest.
Also some of the enclosures were very small and lacked any kind of stimulation or interest for the animals which we found a little sad.
All that said, our 5 year old son really enjoyed his time in the park and would rate it as one of the highlights of his holiday.

Peace, beauty, solitude, blue water, smell of pine. Anything else?? What more do you need? Maybe a long walk, bike, book or just lying on the beach by yourself or with someone you love. This place is magnificent. This far exceeded our expectations. This was a perfect 10. A walk through a beautiful pine forest leads to a beautiful beach. No bugs. Perfect weather. Just can't say enough, except go see for yourself.

We visited Acqua Village Cecina as part of our Tuscany tour, and for the two youngest members of our family (6 and 9 yrs) this was the highlight of the week. However, all the others (ranging from 16 to 77) enjoyed the day as well.

Very convenient for the "bagni delifino" beach, The round pizza is not that great (not wood fire and a bit dry), better the pizzette.
The "fritto misto" was very good, but a bit of a small portion. On the other hand staff was helpful and friendly

Museo Archeologico Di Cecina

Reviewed By travelinrob2014 - Sydney, Australia

Lots of interesting artifacts from an area that is certainly rich in archaeological history. There was a strange use of English though- some of the displays had English translations, but many did not. For visitors from Scandinavia this obviously presented a bit of a challenge. Maybe this is something they're updating though? In any case, it's worth a visit if you're in the area.

Bagni Armida

Normally I would not post a comment like this, however...
This summer I, my 6 month pregnant wife and 3 year old daughter were on the beach next to the water when the manager of this establishment informed us that it was a private beach and we needed to leave. Apart from the fact that the beach was almost empty, we were next to the sea which is public by law in Italy. We agreed to move 10 meters to the public area... since it was a mistake on our part. When we informed her that we needed 5 mins to move she informed us that if we did not move straight away she would call the police and was so rude!
Once we were leaving 'her' beach I did notice that her part of the beach was almost empty and can understand why with such staff.
People who act like this do not deserve any customers!!

Bagno Aurora
