We had a girls weekend and did whitewater rafting, our guide Su was amazing! He went above and beyond to make our experience a great one. This is my third time with Carolina Outfitters and I am never disappointed with the service. They always exceed expectations!

RidgeRunner Ziplines

Their new bathrooms were clean and tidy. We were greeted by Sue and TK - who eventually were our guides. Our ground school was quick and informative, I liked that they told me the equipment was theirs and I was not to touch it. We all were outfied with our gear, helmets, gloves, and harnesses. They would touch all of the equipment. Leave the latching and unlatching to them. Good advise. Leave the professionals to ensure that I am safe. A quick pickup truck ride up the hill, and we were quickly on the first zip line that was for practicing form and for brake practice. This is the first Zip line i had done where I controlled the speed. The course was interesting. There were some interesting zips. A bit of a disappointment was that the longest of the zips was early on in our tour. Other zip tours I have had kept all guests tethered at all times. I would like to suggest that the guides keep their guests attached or tethered at all times. It was not :unsafe" it just is good practice. We finished with a short trip back to the headquarters where we were allowed to go inverted.... that was a HOOT...! Good time had by all.... give them a try.... they are good people and run a safe place....

Calaboose Cellars

In the shadows of the Great Smoky Mountains, there's an old stone building with bars on the windows that overlooks our small vineyard. Legend has it that the local lawman locked up the hooligans here to cool down until they went before the magistrate. Now we use the Calaboose to incarcerate our wine and beer before it makes its escape to you! Come and relax on our Rockyard Patio and enjoy the beauty of the prettiest valley in the state!

Nice setup to hang out with friends. They were still working on their beer permit when we visited and the wines were not my style, but their grounds were nice. Very cramped inside space, but if they get that figured out, or if the weather is nice enough to hang-out outside, it is well worth the stop.

They have both beer and wine here at the old jail building and the smallest winery. They both do not disappoint!! The owners are very nice and knowledgeable. You can do a flight of the beers and take home your favorite in a growler!! The beers are all amazing!!

There is a nice firepit on the property and some chairs there so you can get something to drink and relax!! Sometimes they have live music which is always good! It will not disappoint!!

Tasting of 5 wines is $10 but you keep the stemless glass. Wines were overall very good including both whites and reds (we bought a bottle of red). If you like sweet and fruity wines like blueberry and other flavored wines this is not the winery for you, they have nice dry whites and good medium to bold reds. Really liked the place, and they have jelly's and other crafts on sale as well.

I ended up here to do some unwanted chemistry homework on my vacation. They had free wifi so seemed like a good place. I was so happy I stopped here. The place is super cute with tables made of trees and beautiful chalk writing on the board. They were friendly and they have awesome chai tea lattes. This is a great coffee shop to stop at.

We had a problem with the throttle cable on my motorcycle. My husband fixed it on the road, but when we got here, her took it over to see Mike. He told us that he would have fixed it the same way, and is sure it would last the long ride home. He could have taken our money and "fixed" it anyway, but he didn't.
