Formerly the city's Council Chambers, this historic building now hosts local and touring exhibitions covering history, science, innovation and technology. The Museum of the Riverina's two sites bring history to life, with exhibitions and activities for all ages.

RAAF Wagga Aviation Heritage Centre showcases Air Force history, along with representing the significant involvement of the RAAF in the Riverina region of New South Wales. The static display aircraft next to the Aviation Heritage Centre represent over 50 years of RAAF flying history and are completely accessible for the public to view and photograph. The display comprises Air Force heritage artefacts displayed in various themed rooms, including a 'Community Room', which is devoted to a rotational display that relates to military history and/or the contribution made by people from Wagga Wagga and the Riverina region and the "Riverina Room" which hosts an interactive display of bases established in the Riverina. As the last remaining Riverina World War II Base within a network of bases incorporating Narrandera, Temora, Deniliquin, Tocumwal, Cootamundra and Uranquinty; this Aviation Heritage Centre represents the only repository for regional specific RAAF memorabilia.

Located in the heart of Wagga Wagga, the Oasis Regional Aquatic Centre features a range of both indoor and outdoor facilities. Indoor area: • 25m pool • Leisure pool • Toddler pools • Warm program pool, which is frequently used for children's swimming lessons and hydrotherapy • Large male, female, family and disabled accessible change rooms • Café • Speedo shop Outdoor area: • 50m pool • Diving pool, which has a one-metre and three-metre springboard and a five-metre platform • Free barbecue facilities • Children's playground The Oasis has a range of children's birthday packages available, including exclusive use of the giant inflatable water rollers. It's also a great location for your next sporting or community group function, with the free barbecue facilities or café available. Wagga Wagga is known as the City of Good Sports and the Oasis can also cater for various activities including water polo, diving, and triathlon. The facility provides swimming lessons, aqua aerobics and an active over 50s group exercise class. Don't like to get wet? The Oasis is adjacent to Workout Wagga Gym (fees as charged by private operator) and is a stone's throw from the CBD and shopping centres. Lake Albert is one of Wagga's most popular recreational facilities. It caters for boating, fishing, swimming and other aquatic activities, and is commonly used by walkers, joggers and bike riders. It is family friendly and a must for visitors to Wagga Wagga. Eight fitness stations have been installed in four locations on the eastern side of Lake Albert. Set over 800m, the fitness stations are very popular with users of the lake. The walking track around Lake Albert is 5.5 kilometres.

Riverside: Wagga Beach is a popular, natural, attraction in Wagga Wagga. There's great access to the Murrumbidgee River, plenty of grassed, shady spots for a picnic, sheltered barbecue areas, a playground and seats to sit and watch the world go by. Splash about and cool off at the sandy beach area during the warmer months. Or, launch your kayak or canoe from here and see part of our city from the water. Riverside: Wagga Beach is also part of the Wiradjuri Walking Track in Wagga Wagga. Stop off here for a rest as you wander the track, or start here and discover more of our city.
