Malabar Headland National Park

Reviewed By JElliot32 - New South Wales, Australia

This is a spectacular coastal walk, to me more enjoyable than the better known (and far busier) one between Bondi to Coogee. We started at Maroubra Beach and only last section from Boora Point to Malabar was less than brilliant. Otherwise, was totally immersed in nature, with highlights being spectacularly wild coastal views and the hardy heathland vegetation, home to lots of birdlife. You would never know you're only about 10 km from downtown Sydney. The track is well maintained, with much of it on boardwalks. Very quiet when we walked: a few other walkers, fewer (very energetic) runners and no dog walkers. (Nor should there be - it is a national park.)

The Ritz Cinema

Reviewed By AAAMM1 - Greater Sydney, Australia

The Ritz is unquestionably the best cinema (complex) in Sydney. It maintains the original single auditorium with stalls and circle and many new, smaller screens. All have state of the art presentation but the original auditorium can project film stock including 70mm. We saw a preview of TENET and plan to come back to see it again at the Ritz in 70mm again. Social distancing practices in place made us feel safe to return to the cinema. Thank goodness for this!

Maroubra Beach

Reviewed By 58arnelb - Liverpool, Australia

First time going there and the beach was amazing, white sand and clear blue waters. The waves were decent and not dangerous to kids. If you walk further south there are two rock pools. Comparing this with Cronulla beach there were more lifeguards on the beach and patrolling this area. Summer day and scorching heat, the beach was packed. Parking was hard to find and took us a while to find parking. Once you find parking you hold it to dear life and maximise your stay.

Dunningham Reserve

Great place to start the walk to Bondi Beach! Some little shops and cafes to stock up on supplies for the walk then you go up to the nature reserve with some lovely views of Coogee beach from Dolphin point, you then take a walk through a great area to see some beautiful birds and butterflies before carrying on the walk.

Congwong Beach

Reviewed By JElliot32 - New South Wales, Australia

Congwong is an idyllic stretch of clean, golden sand located at La Perouse towards the mouth of Botany Bay. The water is beautifully clear and clean and because of the beach's south-facing aspect, large waves are a rarity. But while the waves are small or non-existent, and there are no obvious rips, the beach has a steep gradient at the water's edge. So, it is not necessarily great for young children. There are no facilities at the beach, though there are toilets in nearby Cann Park and La Perouse's strip of cafes is only a few hundred metres away.

This is a very nice place to swim, relax and snorkel! You would see a lot of fishes, beware of the sea urchins tho. Plenty of parking on the street as well. ????
