The Waterpark was extremely clean. The lifeguards are on top of it!! Social distancing was in full effect and I often saw staff cleaning. The rides were sooooo fun! On one ride, our family did flip over in the water. Although we were not aware that this was abnormal, the staff immediately checked on us and even had a supervisor check on us. We were fine. We can’t wait to come back. We did get a cabana, and although we enjoyed having a space to ourselves, there were plenty of available tables in the shade we could have chosen.

The Village Cinema

This theater is my families go-to location. If you are visiting the area and looking for a movie theater, I highly recommend this one. It is located within an outdoor shopping center in the heart of Meridian. The shopping center in itself is a fun experience with various shops, restaurants and often other entertainment (concerts, yoga on the lawn, dancing water fountain, children's storytime, etc) happening. Check out The Village to get the full rundown on those offerings. Anyways . . . this theater offers various types of seating. They have your basic theater floorplan, theaters with fully reclining chairs and a VIP section in which those that are 21+ can sip on a beverage and order an actual dinner served at your seat. You pick your specific seat at time of purchase, so you don't have to worry about getting there 30 mins prior to snag your favorite seat. Log on online and purchase ahead of time OR you can purchase at the ticket office onsite (just know if it is a popular movie you might not get the seats you want or at all if you wait until last minute). The offer all the usual concessions at the usual prices so no surprise there. Picture and sound quality has always been great for me. Lastly, they do have a restaurant attached to the theater (which is where the food for the 21+ section comes from). It is a great place to grab a drink or a quick bite to eat right before or after your movie. (Some of the other restaurants in the Village during peak times may have quite the wait if you are in a hurry)

I've seen their other "village" (Bridgeport) off I-5 in Oregon and loved it. To come here and see this magnificent array of stores within an area that included a water fountain with aerial displays all day long is amazing. "The Village" is designed to be used every day of the year, regardless of weather, who ever put this design together was thinking outside the box. Good Job!

Settlers Park

Tennis, baseball, splash pad, horseshoes, fishing pond, playground, picnic tables, large fields, pavilions, this park seems to have it all. I also like that it has two separate parking areas. Playground has like 3 different areas-very large pirate themed one, some rock climbing things for kids & teens, and musical things to play & interact with. Swing area has several swings-and 3 different types of swings. May not be the best park if you only have one adult and several children-especially if you have kids who wander since the playground area is kind of spread out.

Kleiner Park has something for everyone -- from Jogging/Walking Paths to Children's Playgrounds, from Disc Golf to Bocce Ball and Basketball, from Fishing to large Pavilions and more! The location is great, right next to The Village at Meridian. I also like the slow-speed, one-way traffic route that circles through the park, thus allowing you to get close to your desired area without carrying all your stuff for a long distance. The small hills add a feeling of expansive space while the fountains in the ponds keep the water looking fresh. I definitely rate this park as a local treasure.
