Boerne (/ˈbɜːrni/ BURN-ee) is a city in and the county seat of Kendall County, Texas, United States, within the Texas Hill Country. Boerne was named in honor of a Jewish-German author and publicist. The population of Boerne was 10,471 at the 2010 census. The city is noted for the landmark U.S. Supreme Court case City of Boerne v. Flores. Founded in 1849 as Tusculum, the name was changed to Boerne when the town was platted in 1852.

We offer free wifi, public computers with printing, free books for checkout without a library card, cultural events and much more! Our building has won awards for sustainability, include gold certification for Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design.

We had not been here before and it happened to be part of a community event we took part in and so glad it was. What a beautiful place off the beaten path from downtown Boerne. It is directly on Main St. several blocks from the main square. There was plenty of parking and although the library was closed the day we visited the area, we were still able to walk around the lovely grounds and sit and relax in the shade at a picnic table. The design of the property is the nicest library grounds we have visited. There are many shaded areas to enjoy with benches and patio area as well as nice sculptures and art work. There is also a bookstore but it was closed as well. The children loved exploring the grounds and we will definitely need to stop here again when it is open and visit the different areas. Great Job Boerne.

Stopped for Sunday brunch and the food was excellent. We were recommended try the "World's best coconut pie" and it was truly an excellent piece of pie. We enjoyed chatting with the owner. Very friendly wait staff. They also have an adjacent shop with various unique items for sale. Would definitely stop again if we're in the area

The Cave Without a Name is a small cave but didn't disappoint. Beautiful formations and just the thrill of being underground in a cave was all it took for our grandsons to be impressed. Our guide was informative telling us the history of the cave and giving us lessons on the formations. WARNING...there are steep stairs which were okay going down but this old out of shape granny, had to take several stops to rest and catch her breath!

The Boerne Starplex is brand new. The theatres are a good size but not too big. Seats are nicely tiered and offset to there is never a persons head between you and the screen. The seats are the best I have found in a theatre - wide, plush, comfortable with padded arms and nice recline. Much better than the seating in the Starplex at the Rim. The sound system and projection is excellent - we saw Arrival, Hidden Figures and the Founder during February and March.

Enjoyed looking through the Antique shop. Found a treasure for our collection. Sampled the pickles and took home 2 jars! On a cold and rainy day, this was a great way to spend some time! Store clerk couldn’t have been any nicer!!

Stopped for a shopping break, had a delightful red wine with a flatbread that was just wonderful!! In fact, all the businesses own by Bechants are totally Fantastic! First class!

What a pleasant surprise, the owner winemaker led us thru a complete line tasting of some superbly made varietals, like cinsault, tannat, albarino, and mouverde. You will not find more enjoyable wines in CA in these varietals, thankfully Texas winemakers are not trying to be Bordeaux. Loved it.
