The province of Ciudad Real (pronounced [θjuˈðað reˈal]; English: Royal City) is a province in the southwestern part of the autonomous community of Castile-La Mancha, Spain. It is bordered by the provinces of Cuenca, Albacete, Jaén, Córdoba, Badajoz, and Toledo. It is partly located in the old natural region of La Mancha. Its capital is Ciudad Real. It is the third largest province by area in all of Spain, after Cáceres and Badajoz. The historic comarca Campo de Calatrava is located in the center of the province.

Well worth a visit, through wooded areas onto wooden walkways to see wildlife, lots of hides to look from, we saw geese, cornarants and ducks flying overhead, large birds, herons and even storks and its free entry

The city of Almagro in the 17th century was a center where the most prestigious playwrights of that time such as Lope de Vega, Quevedo or Cervantes premiered some of their works, among all the theaters that only had this one, it has been possible to preserve almost as it was at that time and that is still used today for theatrical performances as they were at that time, it is worth visiting and if possible at the festival that takes place every year in the month of July enjoy it live, located in the main square of Almagro you can take a guided tour where marvelous scenes and costumes of that time are told

Almagro was for a long time the second city in importance of La Mancha after Toledo, this is the vestige of this elegant arcaded main square, wide and surrounded by the main monuments of the city such as the town hall, the lace museum and the best comedy corral preserved today, the square opens with a monument to Diego de Almagro, who participated in the conquest of Peru and was the first to reach the lands that today form Bolivia and Chile, around the square there are a multitude of terraces to enjoy agape while enjoying its view and the people who walk, under the arcades there are several stores that offer one of the main products of the city, the lace, and many others that sell typical products of the land such as the cheeses and wines of La Mancha and the eggplants of Almagro, take your time to enjoy this outdoor munument
