You haven’t lived until you’ve slept on a portaledge on a cliff face in beautiful Wales! This experience was run by Sam - our awesome guide and one of the nicest blokes we’ve met - for my girlfriends birthday. After we arrived at the set up spot, we were able to do some rock climbing (neither of us experienced, so totally fine for beginners) and had a walk round the area which was beautiful. We were them lowered down to our ‘bed’ and fell asleep to the sound of the waves below. Whilst it’s a terrifying concept, you feel weirdly safe after a few mins and Sam showed us how it was all secured so you know how it works. Can’t recommend highly enough for a crazy, unique experience!

Aberglaslyn Pass

We parked at the Aberglaslyn national trust car park and walked to Beddgelert and back. The river was in full flow after heavy rain, which made the waterfalls dramatic. The first part of the route is a narrow rocky path. We didn't feel unsafe, but it is reasonably challenging walking and you do need good walking boots. The second part is an easy strong on a well made path into Beddgelert.

I went here on a school trip and we had so much fun. I learnt a lot and would definitely go again! We went kayaking, keel boat sailing, paddle boarding and more! There is a Leap Of Faith for those who love a height challenge! (It is safe - we used harnesses). Some of my school friends had their birthday while we were there, and the staff were kind enough to make them a cake. The instructors were very lovely and very good teachers! Hope to come back again! Thank you Plas Menai!
