Located outside of the remote, mountain town of Miranda del Castañar about one hour from Salamanca (city).
If you are visiting the Sierra de Francia or just fancy a day trip out of Salamanca and love a good steak then this restaurant and the nearby medieval village of Miranda del Castanar are well worth a visit. The restaurant building itself is charming and rustic and as it was a sunny day we sat outside and ate by the river surrounded by trees and mountains. Lovely goats cheese salad to start followed by the main event - a huge and delicious steak served with chips and salad. We shared one between three so do bear that in mind when ordering and also that they are cooked medium-rare (to perfection in our opinion!) All washed down with some nice local wines and some great desserts. The service was good and it was all very reasonably priced. Also a great place to just stop off for a drink and take in the view.

This tiny but beautiful town has a gem of a restaurant, La Fuente. It does indeed have a fountain nearby. We dropped in to sample some local food and ate off the 12 euro menu. The variety was among , as we're both the quality and quantity. Our server, Maria was excellent. She advised us on food and drink. lt made a good meal an outstanding experience. All in all the highlight of our day.

We were staying in Sotoserrano for a few days and were recommended a restaurant in Mogarraz called Mirasierra but when we turned up it was fully booked, we went across the road to Calama ibericos, the atmosphere was lovely, it was a bank holiday so everyone was out. We had the menu of the day, the restaurant inside was really nice, modern, clean and great tables. We had setas with ham and a salad with Foie Gras and bollota ham to start, then steaks and pork and finished with a leche Frita and carrot tart, the wine was left on the table to help yourself. The. Bill came to â¬43, great value for such lovely food

The upstairs dining room is nice, the service was okay, the food was average, the wine was good. Don't expect great food here, it is - as we expected - a place catering large groups which travel here by bus.

I made the decision to go to this restaurant after read some Tripadvisor comments. The restaurant is located in a singular village and it has a beautiful views (some of salons). It was completely full but we donât waited too much time between meals (booking is necessary at weekend). They also have their own winery/wine, we tried one of them âla zorraâ as the wine is good, we asked for a winery tour and we could do after lunch. So I just say THANK YOU very much for your great food, services and good luck!

Stopped here for lunch on account of the menù especial. There were 4 of us dining on the menu and after different starters (all very healthy portions) we enjoyed the goat with fries. Great quality and quantity. Desserts and coffees (and a chupito) followed. Meal accompanied with water and wine. â¬23 each and well worth it!

We have been stopping in here for the past few years. A good spot to stop during a road trip for a drink and a tapa.It can be hit or miss, typically hit, when it comes to the attitude of the staff. The food is always great, stewed pig ears and all. The remaining tapas pale in comparison to the ears.
