we have recently enjoyed the octopus entree, although last time it was rather overcooked. Although no longer cheap, the food was good quality and the portions generous. Nice place to eat.

This restaurant has changed hands after decades as being Smith's. It is now called THE BRIDGE SEAFOODS. The Original Smiths Quality Seafood Specialist, is located opposite at 727 Princes Highway, Blakehurst. They used to owned by the same people. THEY ARE NOW SEPARATE. I have used the old Smith's at 430 P Hway for 3 decades, as their fish was superlative. The quality of the food has dropped noticeably with the new owners, with cheaper fish species being used. Service is also longer than previous. Last week I was disappointed with the fish and chips, so this week I walked over the road to the old Smiths to be greeted with the quality of food that it has always been renowned for. There is parking adjacent to both stores. All cards are taken.

The location is excellent, with magnificent views of the beach and sea. The service was excellent by a Vancouver Island waitress. We had their seafood platter, for 2 at $150. It was excellent and very well worth the price. The selection of hot and cold seafood was very well presented and beautifully prepared and cooked. A most enjoyable meal. Also, on certain days it is BYO, a great plus.

Over the years the girls had been here a few times, and liked the food and atmosphere.We booked a table with a water view as one friend had experienced this restaurant, earlier this year.A great winters day with a beautiful view.The lady waitress was lovely and smiled lots.We ordered Haloumi dips as a starter.Yum, Yum - great Mains of Snapper with veggies and salmon fillet with salad.Well absolutely delicious ALL round. White Wine - very nice Coffees and with Almond shortbread hearts. - deliciousWe had a wonderful day and the food is remarkable and delicious.My last visit was 10 years ago. Fabulous

Our first visit to Shipwrights was a family affair with seafood platters and lots of fun and laughing so my wife and I, absolutely loving the mussels on the platters decided to return for a quiet evening at an awesome location.A shame it was off its excellent best : the mussels reflected that first try but the sauce was way too salty... my brideâs Barra main was outstanding, my pasta marinara over el dente and low on the taste of the sea.It is still a wonderful location: the wait staff were OK without shining.. in a crowded industry though the setting can only get you so far, especially on the expensive side of the ledger. So, a little off peak, but we will go back.. just to see if it will become a regular haunt....

Posideon seafood has been in this centre for some years now.It offers a wide range of seafood( eg whole fish, prawns, mussels and fillets).Unfortunately, it is not cheap and suffers by comparison with other seafood purveyors nearby.However, the quality is good and service always efficient and friendly.
