Only open from May to September, KP is a must visit but often overlooked by visitors to the town. Its in the fushing societys building on the lakeside offering gorgeous views. The menu is simple danish fayre, very reasonably priced. I would recommend the Stjerneskud - fish open sandwich. Its full every evening in the summer so book a day ahead or so. Especially if you want a terrace seat. A real gem. Not fussy. Just lovely.

From the outside tis place looks very ordinary, but inside is very special arrangement with a big buffet table.Nice decorated.Unfortunately you can't recognize this before you go inside. We where out in the nice wether, had a beer and a danish burger with fries we never had before. This was very good! The waitress was very nice and was entitled to tips.(Which we only give for special treatment). Not forget,we parked the car 3metersfrom the entrance which is good when you have walking problems.

Gik herind for at drikke eftermiddagskaffe. Havde ingen brød at tilbyde kun småkager. Kaffen bar præg af at have stået længe. Kedelig oplevelse.

Was staying in the hotel on a business trip and booked a table for me and my colleagues. Very good service, pleasant and professional. Bread with oil was nice to start and I enjoyed the starter as well as risotto as main disher. A little expensive maybe but clearly easy when you don't want to go out again once you've reached the hotel.

Centrally located in Horsens, Oksen should please most people. The staff are friendly and welcoming and the food is well prepared. Although red meat dishes dominate the menu, there are other choices too, including salmon and chicken. Soup and salad are included in the price of the main courses and you help yourself to them from a buffet near the entrance. The wine list has a good selection.

Dollys is a authentic Danish Restaurant, at the old commercial port of Horsens. The Restaurant is placed in the Dockers old historic shelter building. The food is classic danish cuisine made from scratch with a lot of quality foods from local producers. T
Another wonderful meal enjoyed at Cafe Dolly. Traditional fares. Fried pork belly with potatoes and parsley sauce. Service fast and friendly.

A group of us went out for steaks. The prime rib I had was good, even if a little under salted (easily corrected). As a side, I had fried mushrooms. Interestingly, there isn't a lot of variety for vegetables to go with your meat. The steaks were good and done according to our instructions. The wine list wasn't fantastic, but was ok and reasonably priced for a Danish restaurant. I rate it as five stars because it's a great value for the price. It's not what you would expect in a high end steak house in the US, but it is very good for Denmark. Be aware that they often serve sauces with steak. So if you don't want a sauce, be clear about that in advance.
