Oualidia (Moroccan Arabic: الوالدية l-walidiya) is a coastal village in Morocco situated between El Jadida and Safi. It is located beside a protected natural lagoon and has been called Morocco's "oyster capital," a reference to the significant role shellfish harvesting plays in the local economy.

i have been coming to this restaurant for 15 years and it's definitely one of the best places in Oualidia, not only because of the food but also because of the view on the lagoon. Everything there is delicious :)

Food can be excellent but service can be eccentric. Stick to seafood - delicious prawn cocktail, crab salad, sea bass, lobster, etc.. The position, overlooking the lagoon and next to the derelict royal palace, cannot be bettered. The cassis for the kir was off but the wines are fine.

Really iffy! Avocado and crab was totally tasteless. Oysters were not served on ice and were therefore not cold enough. Turbot was good but "hollandaise" sauce was certainly not that and the accompanying vegetables were cold. Grilled sole was nice but a mean portion compared with the same at Issa Blanca.
The service is friendly and keen but it is the location overlooking the oyster beds and lagoon that makes this place. Plus the fact that sometimes they do, apparently, get the food right!

Highly recommended restaurant romantically overlooking the dunes in Oualidia. Nadia (the owner) certainly knows what she is doing and Farid (the waiter) and the kitchen staff are excellent. We had the most delicious paella as well as lovely mussels, oysters, perfect grilled fish and langouste; this over two visits as we enjoyed ourselves so much the first visit!
I can't really speak highly enough of Issa Blanca restaurant, and they have rooms too and a spa, which we didn't try! At the far end of the beach away from the main area so you need to be determined or have a car. The best food we had in Oualidia.

Today was actually our second visit here. Beautiful setting. Food and wine are good. Today we ordered baked oysters, modules et frites. And baked seafood. Yummy. But spring for the Volubilia or Medaillon wine. Perfect. Westerners will feel comfortable with friendly staff and cleanliness of this come back to place.

We had another good meal here last night. But be sure to question the menu. My friend chose a bouquet de crevettes which turned out to be prawn cocktail; I chose fillet steak (a silly choice by the sea) and it was sirloin or rump: and almost too tough to cut let alone chew!!! The langouste was very good and my fried calamari delicious. Creme caramel was fine. The most annoying part was when we tried to pay with a card and the waiter said their connection was too poor! Beware this tactic. It can leave you washing up!

Non ho pranzato in questo locale. Ho solo preso un caffè.
Sembra poco. Ma non è così.
Sono stati molto gentili fornendoci tante indicazioni.
Con il caffè ci hanno regalato anche una bottiglietta di acqa.
Toilette molto pulita e per il Marocco non è poco.

The restaurant ‘La Plage’ selected the best locally sourced products in Oualidia prepared in a simple manner to make the most of fishermen catch of the day and nearby oyster farm supply combined with vegetable from the hotel organic garden. With unrivalled fresh fish & seafood, ‘La Plage’ offers a feast for the eyes and taste buds. Specialties include Lobster, Spider crab, Oysters, Grilled Meat…
The best seafood restaurant in Morocco. The location is magnificent: by the lagoon and so private. The service is awesome. Taufik and Tarik the waiters are so kind and helpful. The seafood is so fresh. I really enjoy the oysters and lobster here, with white wine.
