We had a real Italian pizza, nice Calabrese salad, hearty soup. Staff were friendly and efficient and the ambience was very Italian. They were serving a number of local mushroom (seasonal) specials that looked good and it is great to see them working with the local supply. Prices were reasonable and quality was good.

What a great find. Out if town but easily accessible with a short walk from the josephkirch stop on the number 3 an 5 tram lines. Wonderful selection of tapas, better than we've had in many Restaurants in Spain! Service was friendly and the waitress spoke some English too. Loved it.

While searching for a piece of kelsch in the region, we have missed our lunch time. Most of the restaurants refused us, Le Dromadaire was our only choice. We later realised how lucky we were that the others refused us. Excellent couscous and tajine are propsed in this restaurant. The boss himself cooks, his wife takes services in hands. We have been back on and off since years. The same quality of good food. The same quality of efficient services. When the owner finishes cooking, he engages in interesting discussions with clients. He is not just good cook. He has good knowledge and interesting points of view on the society. We highly recommend "Le Dromadaire".

After a charming welcome we (again) spent a super nice evening in your great restaurant. The food and wine recommendations were a hit and we thoroughly enjoyed every course of the menu and every sip of the wine that you recommended - what an outstanding experience. The tiny restaurant was fully booked so we had to eat out on the pavement. We both chose the Menu de Chef which proved to be brilliant - a mini mezze for starters, brochettes for main and baklava for pud. The tabbouleh was great - heavy on parsley, light on bughul, and I could have pigged out on the falafel. highly recommended - but do book first!

We had such a lovely experience here. Came for lunch and the food was delicious! Very generous servings so don't get too greedy and order too much- you will be very full! Our waiter- most probably the boss/manager- was also hilarious and liked to play a few tricks and harmless pranks on us. All in all, a great restaurant to try something new and different :)

Just outside of "old town" is the Ridstorante La Pignata...about a 5 7 minute walk from the city center. This is the most authentic Italian restaurant in the area...a great staff, very friendly and warm. We didn't have a reservation but arrived right around opening time (1900 hours) and the owner seated us without hesitation. My wife and I each had a glass of Prosecco and for our first course we shared a pizza Margherita...neither one of us could have eaten the entire pizza...it was too large. But it was delicious. The dough was perfect and the amount of cheese was spot on. We shared our second course, the Gamberoni with pasta. It too was very good...the tastes were authentic Italian. Lastly we shared three scoops of gelato and we had an espresso. The place was packed with mostly residents of Colmar...so you know it's good. The owner and the wait staff were very outgoing and friendly. We highly recommend La Pignata should you wish an Italian meal while visiting Colmar in the Alsace region of France. Great spot!

The food is authentic and soooo delicious. We were lucky to get a place without reservation and decided to get the "get everything" (can't remember the real name) menu for 32Euros per Person. Glad we did! You get several starters, several main dishes and different desserts. Just perfect!

The best Italian food outside of Italy, Maria and her staff are wonderful and very attentive. The ambience is light and refreshing. Crystal glasses on the all of the tables and Roman columns around the room. Food presentation that you eat with you eyes first and then the delicious el dente pasta with sauce. I had the spaghetti, shrimp and aubergine pasta, friends had bolognese and a pizza, all were very tasty. A time to practise your Italian, mange bene, viva bene!
