Reviews on Italian food in Cascais, Central Portugal, Portugal. A coastal town just 20 miles west of Lisbon, Cascais was once a small fishing village, but its idyllic scenery attracted the attention of artists, writers and expelled European nobility in the 20th century. Today, it still attracts high society, but all society comes in force to enjoy the gorgeous beaches and adventure options like sailing and surfing. The Conde de Castro Guimarães Museum, a former palace, is now open to the public and displays an impressive collection of art and artifacts.

Wow- what a lovely surprise. We picked up pizza pies for takeout as we were tired after a long day touring the area. Not expecting much as we are from NY and have high expectations for our pizza, we were delighted with our food. Excellent taste all around and I would highly recommend.

Il Siciliano in Cascais since 2003, with over 20 years of esperienca Italian cuisine, come and experience shall be served
This restaurant is tucked away a short distance from the main street running through Cascais. Follow the narrow street to the left of O'Neill's Irish pub; take the 1st left up the hill and then veer right; Pizzeria-il Siciliano will be on your right. A reservation is highly recommended as this is a busy restaurant. There was an excellent choice of pizzas on the menu and the Nastro Azzurro, Peroni Beer was wonderful!

The chef Mario Russo discovered the freshness of new ingredients, the conjugations of more formal and informal flavours, the rigor and the passion for respectful cooking, respect for the product, respect for its preparation, confection and presentation. The highest quality for the best price!!!!

Bordas Pizzaria have delicious and unique pizzas and pastas. An overwhelming choice of wine with honest prices. The right place to come with your family. Huge comfort! Come visit us and prove what everybody is saying: Best pizza in Portugal!
We usually rely on Tripadvisor for restaurant recommendations and it rarely puts us wrong! We have three young children with fussy palates so I looked up a pizzeria. My wife was a little uncertain as the area was shabby but again, our faith in Tripadvisor was strong! First of all, on arrival, bang on 6pm which is very early in Portugal, there was only one French couple seated. Still it was a rigmarole to find our booking for five. Then the young woman insisted on seating us right beside the French couple involving them moving their table over, even though the rest of the (albeit small) restaurant was empty. We ordered, including two Pepperoni pizzas and cheese balls for a short offering. Within two minutes the waiter informs us that the cheese balls are gone and there is no pepperoni. I'm sorry, a pizzeria with no pepperoni???? We tried to modify the order but our three year old was unimpressed. Remember here everyone, just ONE OTHER COUPLE in the place and our order took 70 minutes! The children were almost asleep on the floor after umpteen games of I spy. Then our pizzas came out at different times. I finished mine before my son's appeared at all (mysteriously with pepperoni). My wife was uncharacteristically enraged and could barely eat. Middle child burst into tears on arrival of the pizza as there were whole tomatoes on view (way too tired!). The waiter told us quite frankly he wouldn't be working there long but there was no attempt to mollify us with a deduction from our bill. After all the drama the pizza was mediocre. If you are in the area go to Mister Pizza in Torre.... FAR BETTER. Best to AVOID this restaurant. More staff than guests and still poor service.

A unique view over the Marina of Cascais accompanied by an exquisite menu. The award-winning Gourmet restaurant is one of the most elegant spaces of the Hotel, enjoying a unique view over the Marina of Cascais, discreet and careful service, coupled with a
Superb view with great valet parking. We were group of 8 with a dinner reservation for 7. Cordially the maître D quickly offered a larger table so, nobody would be his/her back to the view. At the end we kept the original table. Champagne was warmer than it should be but it was at the right temperature after 5 minutes. Food was OK and service was quite nice and friendly.Thank you very much for your comment, was a plesure to welcome you, we hope to see you soon.Best regards

Italian Restaurant; Daily Fresh Handmade Pasta
Coming on a yearly basis to Estoril we first discovered lamassa in 2017 and really liked it...In Oct. 2019 we went twice and were disapointed because of plenty poor details :(Everybody knows that the restaurant is small (7 tables)...ok with that...but the interior looks really tired and some renovation/fresh painting should be done!Service isn't as professional and caring as it was when the owners husband was serving the many guests. They have a chalkboard with daily specials, but not all guests get shown it :(Dishes on the menu are not available anymore and you get told only after you want to order that "no more salmon raviolis" are served :(As starter we liked the grilled vegetables with melted cheese... but this time the cheese wasn't melted at all.... not recommended :(The vitello tonnato starter however was very good: tender veal in a creamy sauce :)The "ravioli tonno" were good as well as the "ravioli taleggio", good consistence, nice sauce and tasty :)Of course we like the pasta "al dente", but the "spaghetti gamberi" were definetly undercooked :( the shrimp sauce however was good.We told the waiter about our concerns, he walked away and we never got a feedback but nasty looks :(The cannolo sweet treat wasn't as the ones we know from Sicily. The "cream" inside wasn't tasty, had a weird consistence and were much too sweet :(Hopefully this review helps the potentiel guests to make their choice as well as the owners who could make some improvments! The restaurant is full each evening for the 2 services (7pm and 9pm) and this makes the owners think "we don't argue with success"?!
