Called in for dinner with three adults and a child. We asked for mussels and kids menu. The portions were HUGE and it was pretty tasty so we were overall satisfied. The staff was friendly and quick. Comparing this to some other diner we had at the square - this one was much better.If someone visits Zierikzee even for a small stroll he should definitely have a dinner here.

This was a good but somewhat confusing experience. The food is delicious and each of the courses is âfine diningâ quality. However, the menu concept and service doesnât match the food. First they handed out a so-called Tasting menu where we could chose 3 or more courses. It looked like all courses were of equal size, but when we were ordering, they pointed out that the pheasant was the only proper main. Why not make this clear in the menu?It also was possible to get an ordinary menu, but that we had to ask for... With some fine tuning on concept and service, this could be a top score!

Excellent quality food and very good value for money. Had the best beef tartar I have ever had. The fish main course and puff desert is surprising good. Only disappointment is that it is a bit short staff and take some wait to order.Highly recommended.

Deze lunch gelegenheid ligt op een industrieterrein en is alleen door de weeks open. Het zit achterin een gebouw met meer bedrijven en daardoor misschien niet heel makkelijk te vinden. De medewerkers hebben een verstandelijke of lichamelijke handicap. De inrichting is leuk en er is een klein terras. De lunch gerechten zijn gemaakt van verse ingredienten en goed van smaak. Leuk dat ze een uitgebreide thee kaart hebben en dat de thee die je kan drinken ook te koop aangeboden worden. De oplettendheid zou net iets beter kunnen en ivm een grote verbouwing elders in het pand was het iets rumoerig maar verder prima. Een aanrader voor een lunch of high tea.

Typical cafe-restaurant on the main old square of this nice old town. Kitchen is surprisingly diverse and nice. Of course fresh fish. Eating outside is really nice (old town square), inside has the café with billiards style atmosphere. Service really friendly, prices very reasonable.

Had a lovely dinner at Paviljoen Meerzicht. The restaurant has a spectacular view on the Grevelingenmeer. When weather permits you can enjoy eating or drinking outside on the beautiful terrace.Staff is friendly, but could be trained better. For instance they forgot to bring an extra menu and I had to pour my own prosecco from the bottle.Prices are very reasonable: the catch of the day (which was salmon) costs 15 euro. My sea bass was about 20 euro. The fish was really fresh and perfectly cooked. I would have loved some more vegetables on my plate though.We couldn't resist ordering dessert. I really loved the absolutely fabulous apfelstrüdel! Not a Dutch specialty, but great nonetheless! With the current owners, Vluchthaven has changed from a luxury restaurant to a fairly simple brasserie in which you sit on second- or third-hand furniture. Fish is the mainstay of the cuisine which otherwise has Mediterranean traits.The food was lovely otherwise, and their white house wine quite good. On the Thursday that we visited, the restaurant was pretty understaffed with only one waiter for some 20-25 clients, but his friendliness compensated our waiting time. Prices, however, were quite high; we spent some 50-60 euros for a 3-course dinner.

Buutengaats overlooks part of the Oosterschelde shellfish grounds.It serves mainly dinner for visiting yachtsmen and after visiting this place several times I would advise to order the simple and solid fish dishes. Service is fast and the wine list is very varied. In fact: Buutengaats caters very well for tired yachtsmen and other visitors as well. Keep their telephone number with you as the gate to the marina is sometimes closed.
