Soulful place with an incredible restaurant
Reviewed By Fernanda FRumah means home and it's really how you feel it there. Is much more than a beautiful pousada is a sanctuary of peacefulness and warmth. The owner came personally to check us in and made sure we understood the ethos of the place and the region in general. He opened the restaurant just for us on a non-opening day. And it was to die for!! Atila, the chef, is a genius. Best meal we had in Bahia for sure. Don't miss the Fondue. We had a fabulous time in Rumah and it was sad to leave. Thank you for the amazing tips and for the beautiful memories we took back!

Reviewed By szokoThe first thing you notice when you walk passed the entrance door through the short corridor which takes you to the living room is the pictures on the wall. Juan Pablo was a photographer who travelled the world looking for a sparkle in the eyes of the people he portraited. The same sparkle he has kept in his own eyes when greeting you with his friendly smile and warm sense of hospitality. Priscilla his wife is an active environmentalist and will gladly tell you what local associations do for the environment. At Pousada Arte Latina, the food is organic and locally sourced. Delicious as well, with Juan Pablo’s brownies at tea time not to be missed, not to mention the best pāo de queijo in the whole of Brazil. The living room has 2 dining tables, a lounge area and a bar/reception. It is open on the courtyard which separates it from the bedrooms. Its walls are covered with more pictures from Juan Pablo and paintings from friends and family. Quite eclectic and a nice change from places with impersonal decoration (or none) as is often the case in beach areas. Even in hot days the place is cool and has a cosy and relaxed feel about it that makes you want to hang around. The bedrooms are spacious, cool and comfortable with nice cotton sheets. Although simple, they have an atmosphere of a former colonial house that throws you back a century ago. Pousada Arte Latina will please those who have come to Bahia with a book from Jorge Amado and who are looking for a different experience than the average accommodation which you typically find in the region. Priscilla and Juan Pablo are not only lovable, helpful and hospitable, they are truly interesting hosts with whom you will enjoy spending time as they welcome you as if you were family.

Reviewed By Viajante20domundoA pousada fica em um paraíso, talvez um dos últimos de nosso litoral. Praias excelentes, bons restaurantes, um deles bem próximo da pousada, o Amar. Foi lá que tivemos a sorte de ver a lua cheia, com direito a fogueira e tudo. No dia seguinte a maré estava negativa, o mar uma piscina de um azul espetacular. Várias piscinas naturais tornam o local de atração irresistível. A Simone sempre preocupada em lhe atender bem e deixá-lo satisfeito. A Bruna mesma coisa. Super recomendo!!

Reviewed By Fabiano RA península de Maraú é um lugar lindíssimo, ainda pouco explorado, o q torna ela especial. O Acesso por terra é difícil, o que de certa forma ajuda a preservar a natureza do local, e por barcos é o modo preferencial de chegada dos turistas. Mas nós chegamos por estrada vindo de Ilhéus, sem grandes problemas. As chegada nas cabanas é tranquila, bem sinalizado. O Casal de proprietários é excepcional, e muito acolhedor. A pousada simples, cabanas bem amplas, 2 quartos, sala, banheiros limpos, cozinha muito boa, permite preparar um belo café da manhã junto ao gostoso bangalô. Ela é distante da orla cerda de 1500m, então a grande maioria dos turistas e moradores, utiliza quadriciclos para se locomover pelas ruas de Areia, o que dá um toque de aventura. Quem não quer utilizar, há cerda de 50 metros, tem uma parada de "Jardineiras", que são camionetes que oferecem transporte aos turistas aos principais pontos da península, como a Barra grande, Taipus de dentro, entre outros pontos de interesse. A pousada é bem sossegada, lugar tranquilo, muito limpo, a estrutura das casas são completas, otimo para descansar e uma boa base pra explorar os diferentes cantos da maravilhosa península, repleta de ótimos restaurantes, piscinas naturais de margulho, locais para velejar, trilhas de quadriciclo e muito mais. Passamos uma ótima semana de fevereiro na Cores do Mar, muito aconchegante. Recomendo muito. Maraú é especial, e a Cores do Mar é um lugar para retornar, com certeza!

Ótima localização!
Reviewed By T564ULangelapPousada muito bem localizada, charmosa, próximo as piscinas naturais. Os quartos são limpos e novos. O café da manhã é gostoso. Não é culpa da pousada, mas a água do banho e abastecimento não é tratada e transparente. Independente de onde hospodar por ali será a mesma qualidade de água. Voltarei com certeza!
