Reviewed By emmer991This hotel is exceptionally well run the staff really couldn't have been more friendly and helpful. The location is great if you want some peace and quiet and it's within a couple of minutes walk from Begnas lake. Our room on the top floor had it's own balcony and seating area around the side, with beautiful views. The food was very tasty and the Wifi good. A great choice of accommodation for visiting Begnas Lake.

Acharya Raj and his family were very friendly and they gave me all the support needed. the location is very beautiful. The food was really good, and it was the best way to experience the Nepali life. Rajendra has a lot of experience with the meditation techniques and in 10 days and 11 nights I could learn several types of Meditation and Yoga techniques which helps a lot in my daily life now. I hope to come back there again.

PERFECT HIMALAYAN HOLIDAY

The location is simply spell bounding especially with the fantastic view we get of the Himalayas. Whether it is enjoying early morning or relaxing over the evening, it was a super experience indeed. The ambiance and well maintained place made us feel it's a perfect choice for our holiday. The quality of food, courtesy of the staff added very much to the enriching experience. Overall a very good place and gave us a perfect Himalayan holiday experience.

You can see Himalayas from the balcony and it is only a 10 mins beautiful walk to the lake where you can chill at the second Shivalaya property, order tea/food, use the boat for free and swim. I arrived a few days before the start of the course and had a relaxing stay in Shivalaya resort area which is right on the lake. Bishnu - the owner of the Shivalaya was very helpful with everything throughout the whole time. He would go himself to the pharmacy when one of the students needed a medicine refilled and I am forever grateful to him for arranging an important delivery to me from Kathmandu to Pokhara. In no other establishment things like this could be arranged. He treats his guest as a family. The course was very intense and rich. The pranayama part of the course is very good - We learnt and practiced a lot of breathing techniques. The yoga practices were really good. Our teacher was Aman - he paid a lot of attention to how we do each pose, adjustments and his classes were vibrant and fun. He is knowledgable and teaches with passion. Cons: I wish the food was a little more diverse. We had to ask for more vegetables/ fruits and diversity in food. Expect having modest and kind of the same food every day. The good thing is that If you want something different - you only have to ask for it and the owner will gladly meet your request.
