Reviewed By JustDar_CeeI stayed at the Genohotel on a business trip. Everything was clean, and my junior suite was VERY spacious. I loved loved loved the styling of the room as well, very sleek. One can clearly see that this is a business hotel. The only comment I have is that they do not clean the rooms daily (I think you have to ask). The restaurant was nice, not a culinary highlight, just ok. All and all, I had a good experience at this hotel.

Reviewed By litanirBaunatal is quite a small place near Kassel. We booked this hotel for an overnight on our way to Hartz. The room is quite basic, clean and for one night it is what we needed. There is nothing to do in Baunatal. Nearby there is a huge factory of VW which seems worth visitting and it is possible Mon. -Friday. What is superb in this small hotel is the service of who seems to be the owner and the restaurant. Really great food. Breakfast is very reach and nicely served..

Unfortunately, instead of a double room (which we had paid for) they given us a single room with 1 pillow and smol blanket, as well 1 towel ect. Dinner in restaurant was good, which cannot be said for the breakfast buffet. What surprised me most was that a cappuccino had to be paid separately, so not included in the breakfast, sincerly never hade this before Location of the hotel good.

Reviewed By touropWe had made reservations at the Hotel Stadt Baunatal before leaving the USA, based on the location and website. When we arrived to check in around 3PM, we noticed that all the room keys were still hanging on their respective hooks. The man at the desk said there was an elevator, but that after dinner time the office closed and the lift was turned off. He told us where we could find a lady who could turn power on to the elevator if we required it (My wife has a handicapped plackard and stairs are difficult for her). We decided it best to move on to find another hotel in the area, which we did easily enough. This hotel is likely not what you are looking for.

Lovely staff but hard to recommend
Reviewed By Hamlet25Stayed here on 20 September 2019. We were warmly welcomed by lovely, caring staff and were hopeful of a happy night here. However, our room was not very attractive, it was cold, smelt of smoke and had no Wi-fi connection. The walls were thin and we were kept awake by noisy guests....also there was virtually no view out of the window, just more windows. However, the food was deeelicious (they have a good chef here), the room was spotlessly clean and, as I said previously, the staff were wonderful and couldn't do enough to help us in every way. Really wouldn't like to stay here again and so cannot recommend.

Value for money gasthaus - a good base for exploring Documenta
Reviewed By NielsHansenA very friendly host and a real gasthaus environment welcomes you in what could be a suburb to Kassel. We chose this as a value for money alternative to a downtown hotel. We got enthusiastic help to set up a couple of days sightseeing of Kassel. After a long day sightseeing the town and the amazing Documenta, we enjoyed traditional but very well made food in the restaurant all 3 evenings, and had a huge room which could have hold a family of 6. As a couple we just enjoyed the luxury of spacious couches, the "office-corner", a big nice bed, the lounge area, a big bathroom etc.. Tip if you arrive by your own car: There is a small area with parking space in front, and you may be able to reserve a space there which is very convenient for unpacking/packing.

Reviewed By T2538BLchrismIch war zum 5 x im Siegerland Hotel. Was soll ich sagen in diesem Jahr 2019 hat der Chef nochmal zugelegt und die Qualität ist weiter gestiegen. Super Frühstück mit gut schmeckender Wurst. Sehr ruhige Lage. Parkmöglichkeot direkt vor dem Haus. Alles sauber Meine erste Wahl in Baunatal.

Würden wir nicht wieder buchen
Reviewed By kuestenkindleinWir haben uns nicht wohl gefühlt und aufgrund des Fachwerkhaus-Werbefotos auch etwas Anderes erwartet. Der Raum (ehemals Büro der Autowerkstatt auf dem Hof? nicht direkt in dem Fachwerkhaus) ließ sich nicht abdunkeln (2 Glasbaustein-Fenster und Eingangstür mit Glaselementen). Es roch unangenehm, am schlimmsten im Bad. Wir haben die Schranktüren unter der Küchenspüle aufgemacht und es war schimmelig dort. Kein Handyempfang. Der Raum wirkte eher karg statt mit Liebe dekoriert. Es standen gegenüber des Raums draußen an der Hauswand ausrangierte (?) Möbel herum. Lüftung im fensterlosen Bad war sehr laut und lief gefühlt ewig weiter, so dass ich nachts das Licht da gar nicht angemacht habe. Stuhl wackelig. Unverschämt finde ich, dass in früheren Bewertungen im Internet schon darauf hingewiesen wurde, dass der Raum sich nicht abdunkeln lässt und es als Antwort hieß, dass es ein Fenster (wohl das ehemalige Ladenfenster) gibt, das sich abdunkeln lässt. Was soll das bringen, wenn zusätzlich mehrere Glasbaustein-Fenster da sind? Warum wurde die Kritik nicht angenommen und es wurden Vorhänge oder Jalousien angebracht? Positiv: Schlüsselübergabe war unkompliziert, Parkplätze auf dem Innenhof. Vielleicht was für Monteure? Viele Küchengeräte.
