Cascades des Anglais

Reviewed By bendorim5 - Jerusalem, Israel

Near the highest point on the T20 road near Vizzavona you can see a parking area just off the road, where the trail towards the waterfalls begin. It is signed pretty poorly but that is the normal situation in Corsica. The trail goes up in a sharp angle from the parking lot. It reaches an old building, probably of a farm, now in ruins, and right after it you turn left and down the slope towards the cascades. It requires good grip shoes or sandals (I did it in source sandals) as the trail becomes rough with bolders towards its end. It is worth while as the cascades are wonderful, calm and the atmosphere is fresh. You then have an option - either you follow the red-white signs of the GR20 all the way to Vizzavona station (Gare de Vizzavona) or you return in the same way to the parking lot.
