Taboo bar is a favorite hotspot for an after work drink and pre-clubbing cocktail. The evening starts with a daily happy hour from 6 to 7pm. The second happy hour from 1 to 2am is the perfect way to continue your night out when the other bars close. On Fridays they serve free hot snacks to celebrate the start of the weekend. We went here after being recommended it by a bartender in another gay bar that was closing earlier, not too far away. The drinks were cheap for such a vibrant city (in comparison to say, London or Paris) and the music was varied, meaning that there was something for everyone. It's quite a small bar and was quite packed out so at times it's difficult to move around as much as you might like but the close proximity to others means you're very likely to get chatting and make new friends! The toilets are co-ed, shared by women and men. There is an indoor smoking room on the second floor which also gets quite packed and, obviously, smoky, but I suppose this comes in quite handy if you attend this bar during the cold winter months.
