We visited recently for a lovely Halloween party with our babies and had a fantastic time during the session. Towards the end we had decided that we were going to eat there rather than head into town to eat; so one of our party went and asked the staff if we could have a table for 6 of us. When the party finished we went to see where our table was to be told we had to sort our own table out, by that time they had all been taken in the main room. We told the women working who seemed put out that we were asking for a table and eventually cleared a table of toys at the top end. On ordering both women were very platonic and didnât offer a smile or any kind of niceties/pleasantries to any of us who were ordering. Food took quite some time and cutlery was put on the side of the table without saying a word, no sauces were offered and there was only one salt shaker between 3 tables. The majority of the party left before plates were cleared and upon clearing the staff member stacked everything on top of each other on the table in front of us. Whilst the party, held by Bowland Sensory was great, the service for food was terrible. The food was tasty but customer service needs to drastically improve if they want parents to visit and stay in the future. With so many local childrenâs play areas, there is a lot of choice for parents and based upon our experience we wonât be returning anytime soon.Good Morning,We are glad you enjoyed the sensory session and the food. This was our first ever event held at the cafe where an external local business came in to host an event. We really enjoyed the event but unfortunately we did underestimate the time it would take to turn the area back into the normal layout of the cafe for the lunch time period. Going forward events will start and finish 1 hour earlier and there will be a third member of staff on hand to help pack up. The cafe has 7 four seater tables, we have no 6 seater tables on site due to our layout and size, we did advise that we were happy for you to push 2 tables together or put chairs on either side, we apologies this was not done for you, but both members of staff were essential in the kitchen at the time. It took some time for to pack up the 20 inflatable pumpkins and toys off the back tables.We are very passionate and happy to work here at Relax And Play Cafe, we can only assume the worry of seating everyone after such a popular event, as 23 tickets sold out in 24 hours that this showed on our faces, for which we apologise for. There are normally salt and pepper shakers on every table, but they were moved because of the sensory session to the nearby windowsill. There is also a self service station with cutlery, serviettes, sauces and condiments. We hope you return in the future to see if your opinion changes. Kind Regards,Relax And Play Cafe

Looked forward to having lunch at this bistro after reading the reviews. Beautiful location and setting and the bistro was welcoming and staff friendly . However we had to wait twenty minutes before anyone came with menus and then another long wait before ordering ourselves at the bar area . We both ordered different salads for lunch and drinks . The salads were 'ok' but nothing special; the usual lettuce, tomato and cucumber with some homemade coleslaw . Some other ingredients and fresh crusty bread would have made them more interesting . If the lunch had been more appealing it was a reasonably priced menu at â¬19:00 for two salads , two cold drinks and two coffees. Looking around at other tables who had ordered hot food, they did seem very satisfied with their meals and they did look good ! Maybe it was our poor choices and a salad off day for the chef ! We would probably return and try something different as it is a very nice venue for lunch ! Hi,Sorry to hear about your delay in being served on Sunday was it? All our customers order food at the bar we don't do a table ordering service so maybe this was not explained to you correctly and i will pass this on. The cost for your 90 minute cruise and lunch was £19 for 2 people and not £19 for 2 salads as listed above but we read all reviews and aim to improve. Please ask for myself when you return and i will look after you.

If you want delicious home cooked food served by friendly staff at unbelievable prices then this is the place to go.Weâve been coming to Brambles for quite a few years now and weâve never been disappointed.We are always greeted with a warm welcome - the service is speedy and the food is great. Donât take my word for it, go and find out for yourselves. You wonât be disappointed.

Very tasty but a limited menu.Portion size seems to depend on who's serving.Good portions but sometimes do not have everyhing , like salad and coleslaw.There is a veg/salad stall nearby so no excuses.Hope they change all this as ther is a lot of competition in the market hall

I had a cappuccino which was divine and served at the correct temperature (not scolding hot) I also had the bakewell which had a lovely flavour and the pastry was great (no soggy bottoms) my only critisim would be that I would like a bit more jam as I'm greedy. My sister had the hummus platter which being greedy I tried and I have to say the hummus was gorgeous. I will be returning!

Managed to get a table straight away at midday Sunday.Make sure you take a look at the specials board before you sit down.Roast pork dinner was OK, it comes with everything OK on including gravy, Yorkshire puddings were rather poor but on the whole it was OK.Chicken curry was OK.Decent portion size still, as our last visit a couple of years back, but the average dinner price of £4.95 then is now £7.50.This place still appears quite busy and parking can be an issue.

Visited here today Sunday the 7th July for the first time, beautiful authentic dishes, its very homely, they have a vast range of speciality dishes cooked by the chef on offer. itâs family run also they make their own authentic cakes, the same as you would find in Napoli. Lynn is a very welcoming lady who is married to the Italian chef. definitely coming again and bringing family and friends too, you must definitely try this place as you wonât be disappointed, I give it 5 stars Thankyou. I never know what to say when people leave reviews like this. We are a just a family business trying very hard to please people and give them what we call Authentic italian fayre. My husband should take the credit for this though, he puts passion and soul into his dishes, even an italian poached eggs on toadt for breakfast. We would love to see you and your family soon. Again, thankyou.

Visited The Bobbin yesterday for the first time and was very impressed. The food here is excellent. I had the Cesar Salad and it was delicious, my friends both opted for the Chicken Stroganoff and loved it. The cake selection is incredible. Can't wait to go back.

I had a day off and it rained non stop all morning . We didnât want to go too far as travelling would have been horrendous. We changed our plans decided to do jobs in the morning then have lunch out. We chose to come here as itâs not open when Iâm off work. It was so lovely, the decor is fab and like a traditional tea room. We were met with a nice warm welcome. The service was wonderful and friendly and now for the best bit .... the food and drink . Tea was hot and refreshing served in china cups. We shared because we both wanted the same. The Cheese and onion pie served with salad was so tasty and homemade, the tuna sandwiches were fresh and also tasty. The cakes were divine lemon curd sponge was light and fluffy and the ginger nut topped cake was excellent . Thanks for making my wet day off wonderful
